Revelry Orb Generation - Disabled in Raids, Gambit, Gambit Prime, and Comp
Hey all,
We’ve been tracking an issue where [b]Guitar[/b] errors were appearing frequently in Raids, Gambit, and Gambit Prime since the Revelry event went live. Through our investigation, we’ve found that Orb generation off of precision kills, specific to Revelry, are causing these errors.
Effective immediately, we’re disabling precision Orb generation for these activities for the remainder of the event. Additionally, we will be disabling this functionality in Competitive Crucible. While we are unable to disable the effects of Tonic buffs, we have the ability to disable Orb generation which has been a topic of feedback since Revelry went live.
Triumphs and Bounties associated with Revelry orb generation may be completed in Quickplay Crucible playlists, Strikes, Patrols, Black Armory Forges, and the Verdant Forest.

We're dealing with some damn good devs (real PEOPLE like you and me), and they don't deserve the disrespect going on in this thread. If you think this game is broken, corrupt, et cetera, just don't play it. Moreover, if you want the triumph, JUST GRIND IT OUT. It's not a bounty (something meant to be simple and menial enough for absolutely anybody to be able to casually do it). It's a frickin' TRIUMPH. There's no triumph in having an achievement auto-complete. I am by no means a crucible god, and I still decided to bite the bullet both literally and metaphorically. You want some advice? Hold your breath for Equinox, The Citadel, Legion's Gulch, or Vostok. If you land any of these, pull out your Blast Furnace. For any other map, consider a bow or handcannon. If you've got it, a Not Forgotten and a Chaperone tend to keep you from wasting your time by getting non-precision kills. In any case, best of luck mates. P.S. If you're any of the people I referenced that decided to pitch a fit and show your ass, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you in the Crucible... It'd be my pleasure to ruin a Jerk's grind. Edit 1: For the record, I'm genuinely sympathetic to the people here that are reasonably voicing their concerns. There are several examples of that in this thread... My post is NOT directed at those people. If your response didn't disrespect anybody, then carry on... As I've told a lot of people in this sub-thread, I completely respect that feedback, especially negative, is crucial to the communication process between devs and community. I just don't like the fact that people on these forums seem so comfortable forgetting that there are actual human -blam!-ing beings on the other side of that screen.

2 RepliesOk, that's just the tip of the iceberg. In the Crucible I created exactly 4 orbs thruogh multikills (for some idiotic reason super orbs don't count). And the people at Bungie just decided that they wouldn't count. That's just it' I'm done with this game.

Another day of and another event that is garbage. You have not fixed the forest event and then release the next one. Wait yo did fix it you made it all crucible and then brought out another event that’s crucible based. Wow What a boned ,, who ever thought of this should be fired. Really. Limited the forest event then come out with the next event and it’s the same event. Crucible. How much can you screw up this game. I thought it was going to be gambit event then crucible event. But no it’s all crucible. For the amount of bad codes that have been put out time after time. For the money I have spent. I am to the point I almost want a refund. But how do I get back the time I spent hoping you would put out a event that would highlight something other than crucible. It seeems like all the people that work there are nothing but PvP and have every little imaginations idea how to bring an event that is not PvP ie crucible. Your dev keep promising that the next event will be based around gambit instead of crucible but then some error code happens and again it’s crucible PvP only if your triumph is to be completed. How much is a player supposed to take of your failures before they ask for a refund for not delivering the content that was promised. Or even the way it was promoted as a gambit based event where non PvP crucible players can finish the event complete all triumphs and enjoy the event. Not the forced into one area that is so screwed up. Thanks for nothing

Bungie plz re enable orbs in gambit, I've talked to many ppl and they all agree that they would rather risk the occasional error (which nobody in my 70 member clan has experienced) than not get that triumph done. Additionally make the dame ornament permanent, it's not hard its easy

How about maybe supers in crucible makes the freaking orbs?! Or very headshot makes orbs? I’ve gotten at least 6-7 headshots with no orbs!

I also LOVE having more space magic across the game (including in the Crucible). It's space magic that makes Destiny special and I always want more of it. I think all events should have a pinnacle exotic to grind for.

Bungie “we don’t want to nerf anymore bring other stuff up” every time we actually have fun in D2 and feel powerful incoming nerf. God I hated D1 at the end nerfed into the ground.

1 ReplyBungie did this intentionally with forethought and malice to lure normal people back into Crucible so that the PVP elitists cowards could have a fresh supply of bunkum to gorge on. You see the PVP elitists cowards were complaining that having Gambit as an option wasn't fair and it was having an impact on their ability to terrorize and humiliate normal people. They further complained that the lack of Crucible participation from the normal people was having a direct impact on their quality of life because they no longer had a fresh supply of fodder to degrade, demean, debase, disgrace and embarrass. There for Bungie came up with some lame excuse to decouple Gambit just to appease these spineless gutless cowards.
