Gwendolyn, One of our salvage trips in the system to the moon Enceladus, we collected parts for Exos. We found one that was almost complete. I remember him well because we had many mishaps that were quite humorous at the time due to him. We named him Lamont to our delight. We stored him in one of our regular areas in the city to be forgotten until after the Red War. After returning to the city, we checked our store rooms to find most of them in good condition except the room we had stored Lamont in. The room was in disarray. To our amazement, Lamont, with parts of other units we had brought home, had completed his body. Still lifeless, he sat staring into the corner opposite the entrance, holding his knees tight to his chest. My comrade, Willem-3, was petrified and refused to enter the room. I too was worried about the chaos that Lamont had created. Moving crushed boxes and scattered pieces of debris aside, Aly, my ghost, illuminated the room and horror filled my body. The walls of the storage were inscribed. Many etchings of circles, triangles and quadrilaterals. Many words were also present in the shapes from light to even darkness! Shockingly in the corner before Lamont was a rudimentary poem in a pre-golden age language. Aly made a copy and we visited Harkim, a cryptarch friend, to translate it. It read: PLEA OF THE ABYSS Oh Adopted Wolf of Light Heed my words I am the mother of the Dark The father of the Void Child of the Righteous Born to the mother Time Stow the Darkness The Hate from Within That path is death That path is short Oh one gifted grace Let that be your guide Let your heart be strong Accept the tribulations Be the flame in the shadows The meal for the poor The voice for the meak The blood for the sick That path is life That path is infinite What is the Abyss? The father of Void and mother of Dark? We wanted to share our findings with everyone we could to find out. Is this a prophecy to ward us risen from the call of Darkness? The Consensus, Vanguards and Cryptarchs made us deliver him for observation. We dressed him and delivered him this past Day of Rest. We no longer know where he resides. We were asked to show where on Enceladus we found him. They then seized the store room he was in. The Cryptarchs that took him in designated him a different name, calling him Adam-0.
