Please, please, PLEASE remove the tonic buffs / ability modifiers from PvP.
This is an absolute mistake.
It ruins PvP balance completely and the game entirely for anyone who's trying to enjoy / improve within the regular PvP sandbox.
You guys refuse to give us trials content because what's been developed to date, or is currently being developed, doesn't do the game justice... and we have to wait for months to get whatever magic bullet PvP end game experience you say is coming. All this while we swallow the last and current season's content which neglects PvP almost entirely.
If we have to wait for more end game content so that what comes is well-baked, then fine.
But don't mess with the PvP sandbox (one that's finally half-satisfying to play) on a whim for the sake of this wanky re-skinned-forest-novelty-grind-fest.

With respect, you talk about PVP balance but there is no balance. You might have just as well said remove LH/DRB/NF/WC and remove the heavy ammo. Comp is full of sweaty try-hards and recovery merchants, and quickplay is nothing but shotgun apes bunny hopping all over the map, so why not just relax and go with the flow for the next few weeks.

Remove it from Comp, yes. The rest of PvP? No. PvP is already ruined, it's been that way for months. Incredibly boring, hunter/titan meta and Luna's/NF, dust rock and wardcliff sweats in every game. At least with everyone throwing grenades I don't have to play with sweats every game.

Um...it's only going to be here for two weeks. And a lot of people are (wait for it....) HAVING FUN. This isn't a permanent thing, or a 'meta change'. It's a live event that will go away in a couple of weeks. I just really don't see why this is a big deal for some people (probably like they don't see why it ISN'T a big deal for me).

4 RepliesThis happened 2+ years ago in D1 when bungie released "spooky trials" and a lot of people lost their 💩. They didn't change it then, and I'm sure it won't be changed now. I don't mind it, breaks up the meta a little and some seem to be enjoying it.

How about adjust pvp put of destiny. That event can't ever seem to be balanced. And it gets fun things nerfed.

I have [b]28[/b] days of Crucible time in D2 alone and I’m pretty sure the balance you’re romanticizing about doesn’t exist. Hell up until last week it’s been nothing but Spectral Bl[b]Aids[/b] and 180’s for months. A real crucible player adapts. It’s only for a few weeks. Enjoy the refreshing change. I don’t think Bungie has anything resembling real respect for the player experience at this point. They have not once in the lifetime of D2 handled updates to the PvP sandbox at an appropriate pace; if anything it’s gotten slower in year 2 when the game is arguably more in need of attention due to the weapon system changes and some problematic specific weapons and archetypes that make gun balance issues in Y1 look laughably insignificant by comparison. It’s indefensible.
