Who exactly gives the go ahead for all that dev time for temp stuff like this anyway, thousands of man hours pretty much wasted because it’s all disabled after a certain date.
The very definition of insanity.

Heh i didnt even think of that. Thats true, wouldn’t the game designers and artist want their hard work to stay in-game indefinitely as far as weapons and armor goes? Otherwise its a complete waste of time! And we wonder why we don’t get new shiny things.
-
No where near the definition of insanity but you’re right it’s a lot of dev time wasted. Especially as making the content is “hard” for them to do 🤦♂️
-
Definitely is insane...who tf would grind for it to just disappear?
-
Bungie seem to waste HUGE amounts of time for n crap no one uses (or content like this get gets locked out) and not bother with on going issues and qol improvements.
-
Look at all the work they put in to The Revelry - all the changes to the tower, new economy items, reskinning the Infinite Forest (again). The community would have much rather had a new strike or 2 and maybe a few new Crucible maps. In other words - new content - rather than another pointless "festival".

Seasonal decorations in the tower is nice to come and go, I get that. However all the gameplay content should 100% stay. Verdant Forrest, haunted Forrest, quests, Eva should all stay in the game permanently once coded and released.
