This should at least work for primaries.
There are so many good energy special weapons and next to none good kinetic special weapons.
The overabundance of energy weapons to kinetic is just way too much and there are so many weapons I like better that are energy weapons.
I'm an auto rifle and sniper guy, but they haven't made very many new weapons that are kinetic for me to enjoy playing with the weapons I want.
My favorite sniper is the elegy as the sound and short zoom are really nice..but every auto that's been added except for 2 of them has been an energy weapon, so I can't use the elegy.
It's more of a petty reason to want this feature back, but I like what I like.
I'm glad spare rations is kinetic otherwise I probably wouldn't even use it.
Oh, and also fusion rifles.
I can't use fusions with energy primaries.

All perks including the scope should be an optional modd... Each weapon or armour piece should break down into 1 or 2 of the rolled mods

I still have an Inaugural Address in all 3 burns, they stay in rotation on all 3 characters according to the weekly burn. Also have Conspirator and Sins of The Past in all 3 as well. Glad those raid weapons are still viable.

Edited by Hawpy: 4/17/2019 3:26:19 AMI'd definitely like to see a Kinetic Fusion Rifle or equivalent, but I have to disagree about the Kinetic vs Energy point. Sniper Rifles are pretty balanced between the types plus Izanagi's Burden being a great option. Popular Energy Shotguns i.e. IKELOS, Mindbender and Retold Tale have Kinetic equivalents in Threat Level, Toil and Trouble and Dust Rock Blues respectively. The two best breech-load Grenade Launchers are both Kinetic (Militia's Birthright and The Mountaintop). Now we can add Arbalest to the list of good Kinetics. As for your Auto Rifle preferences, I can't say much because they're my least favourite weapon type, but there are definitely more than 2 Kinetic ARs that came in Forsaken or later - Tigerspite, Horror Story, Ether Doctor, Hazard of the Cast, Breakneck. Duty Bound, from Savathun's Song, has guaranteed Rampage and Ricochet Rounds. That's not even accounting for the 3 Kinetic Exotics vs the 1 Energy Exotic.

This is gonna sound like a joke, but try your Dust Rock Blues in PvE. I've actually been thoroughly enjoying it, I got a good roll Smallbore/Assault May/Field Prep/Rampage Just look into it c:

Actually you're wrong. Everything in year 1 was awful in every way. And D1 did it better

im no.

I wouldn't mind a void flavored Trust.

They need more allrounded kinetic specials in general. More stuff like Telesto or Lord of Wolves, for example.

1 ReplyEdited by Pure: 4/16/2019 8:15:13 AMto be honest all it does is make less weapons get used. Why farm a forge HC (void) and a raid HC (arc) and a solar one if i can just swap the elements whenever i need to? Why would i farm the arguably harder content if i can just farm the easier/quicker one for 3 god rolls of each element. Part of the loot table is having those different elements. All removing this does is limit diversity. There are also various balance reason...e.g. every single special would be made void to stack with tractor cannon.

I would love to have a void lunas howl so I can pair it with nezarecs sin and exploit the heck out of the game. Im pretty sure this is why bungie removed the feature, ikelos used to deal void damage too and paired with tractor cannon it was broken.
