How do Exo Guardians know their "reset number"
so we know guardians remember nothing of their past life when they come back for the first time and unless they are reborn with a personal possession (like Anna or Shinobu) they have no way of remembering their name and must give themselves a new one
But how do exo remember their reset number? or do they come up with their own as they can't remember the actual number? not sure if its explained in the lore anywhere and was getting curious so thought id swing by here and see if anyone here knows

They just know, same as their names I guess. That is what makes expos unique, they actually remember their original names unlike fleshy guardians.

1 ReplyExo memory doesn’t work exactly the same way as human/Awoken memory. Exos are the only Guardians who can remember their names and other bits of things.

All exo’s are rezzed remembering their name and reset number. The only logged case of an exo forgetting their name is Felwinter

4 Replies[Seeing as they were made by Clovis bray, they probably suspected an eco might think they are shiro-3 instead of shiro-4 after a reset, so they likely had it printed on the arm or something.]
