PvP Apes make me laugh
I enjoy PvP and I’m not as good as many but a new meta would be refreshing. I’ve been wipe clean by teams carrying shotguns and it is what it is but it’s getting old. I have had messages from randoms saying I suck and all that Jazz we go 1v1 no shotguns and then I become the cheater. This meta is just making toxic players anyone else feel the same or am I just complaining.

Break the meta then buddy, I usually change it up all the time 1: Bygones, Luna 2: Ten Paces/Smuggler Word, Le Monarque 3: Service Revolver, Last Perdition 4: Frigid Jackal, Arsenic Bite 5: Nightshade, Techeun Force 6: Duke, Anonymous Autumn 7: Spiteful Fang, Luna 8: Talons, Claws 9: Wish Ender, Luna The possibilities are endless and I do very well with all the aforementioned loadouts. You can too, play to the strengths of your loadout and learn how to counter play the meta. It’s pretty easy

2 RepliesPvP, by nature in any game, attracts people of poor character qualities. Those who forget that it's a video game to be played for fun, not a career your future depends on. Generally why I avoid PvP now, despite playing nothing but PvP games a few years ago. I encountered so many ugly people that I started to become ugly as well, from petty teabagging to hate-messages to those struggling with the game. Eventually "grew up" and pulled the plug on it.

My curated Tempered Dynamo has been putting the Shotgun apes in their place. I can fire two bursts instantly with Backup Plan.

I used to out shoot hawkmoon with my first curse and get messages from that. I've gotten messages from dust rock, luna's or nf and warcliff users because apparently it's cheating that snipers or scouts have a longer range than a hand cannon or shotgun. I'll bait them (or have a teammate do it if the corner is too far) to come around the corner and then back up and kill them with a snipe and they freak out, calling me and cheater and such. Getting rage messages make my day but these meta is still very stale

2 RepliesThis game has garbage PvP. Way better as just a PvE game. There is no such thing as balance in this game, just everyone running what will one shot people that week. Play apex or anything else if you want good PvP. I only play destiny PvP for the powerful engram , usually jusy wedge something in between the control sticks to keep from getting booted, because it's really not fun and I DONT CARE, JUST WANT THE ENGRAM AND I'LL BE ON MY WAY. I know some people take destiny pvp seriously and i cant figure why.

8 RepliesYeah. Pretty much 90% of players are shot gunners who use Luna and NF rn. It just makes the game boring and PvP suffers tremendously when you see the same gun every game that has nearly no counter but sitting back with the last word.

Just because you got killed by a shotgun doesn’t mean you can pick up a shotgun and do well. Like every other weapon, theres a mindset. Range, surroundings, archetype, what other weapons do you have in your back pocket? You don’t know how many times I have outgunned players just purely running around with shotguns thinking thats how they work. I don’t even use shotguns anymore, I use Last Word and I snipe because I have adjusted to it. Shotguns arent as powerful as people make them out to be

1 ReplyJust outplay the shotguns making use of range and position. Dont get baited into rushing in tight spaces ..... make them play your game and not theirs. Know the map and choke points keep your awerness up. Dont stay in aim for more than 2 seconds and always check the radar quickly before doing anything else. Stay with your team and use team shotting where you can .. no place for hero's in the crucible Im definetly not an pvp god just a few tips i always use myself, hope the will help
