(FANFIC) Suffer’s Reprise.

Cabal ships flew across the clear blue sky. Flying fortresses of crimson, resembling bricks that darted across Earth’s blue atmosphere. The snow resembled luscious, soft blankets that reigned in all directions the human eye could see, infinitely covering all the frozen tundra had conquered. A female Guardian, trudged through the heavy snow, battling through the treacherous and rugged terrain of the mountainside. The Guardian paid no mind the horrid conditions that plagued her. A large, golden-brown fur encompassed her neck, drooping down alongside her back. The crystal-white powder stuck to her dark blue robes like glue. Fur pouches hung from the leather belt that sat comfortably around her waist. Beside her was Ghost. It gently floated beside her, staring at her, was watching her every move. The Ghost’s bright, blue eye stood out from its void-black shell. Colors to turquoise to cosmic latte faded in and out of the dark shell continuously. New colors appeared, old colors faded as time passed. “Like I said Aristotle, no one is gonna find us out here. It would be a wasted effort on their part.” Alice said. “Yes, but what makes you think that they won’t send Guardians to investigate, or think something’s up?” Aristotle replied. “Listen Aristotle,” she explained, “We just need to get to the meetup and go! Please! I don’t wanna be out here as much as you do!” “I’m just saying… but do think anyone would even think to come out this far to find you?” He responded. “Nope. I don’t think they would.” Alice reassured, “They’ve never come out this far anyways.” “What if–“ “Do you see anyone in our vicinity right now? Are we being shot at? Do you see any bullets in my asscheeks?” “No.” “Exactly. Now come on, let’s go!” Without a word, Aristotle disappeared, leaving the Alice to her own devices. Without hesitation, she traversed through the frozen tundra, observing the Cabal ships that darted through the clear sky. The radiant, orange, star reigned high and mighty in the blue sky. Its bright rays conquered in all directions, shining on any and all things that inhabited the frozen, barren, wilderness. The thick evergreens of the pine trees were lush, emerald green. The forest trees towered over Alice. Green needles littered the white powdery blankets that covered the ground. The warlock pushed aside the branches that blocked her path. Then it caught her eye. Open land. A clearing. No trees in sight. Alice let out a sigh of relief. She observed her surroundings, as she made her way towards the clear patch of fresh, unbroken snow. A fire sat among the crystal, white sheets. Rocks enveloped the smoldering flames, like a moat defending a castle. Multiple pieces of golden Cabal armor were scattered amongst the snow. Black oil continuously tricked from the ruined armor. Massive bullet holes ravaged the metal plating. Two Phalanx shields laid on the frozen ground in front of a large flat rock. Bits and pieces of flesh attached to bloodied bones were piled on the shields. Someone–or–something stomped across the snow. Alice stared up at the massive flat rock that lied in front of her. A large Eliksni sat one the large rock, laying on its side. An elongated skull engulfed the Eliksni’s head. Long, unkempt, dark mahogany brown hair sprouted from behind the horrid-looking skull. Plagued by the stench of the mixture of oil and blood, it stuck to the colossal four-armed alien like perfume. His teeth were jagged, ugly, and sharp. His mandibles were ajar, as if he was trying his hardest to attempt a grin. “Ah, Light-ender,” The Eliksni snarled, still giving a toothy grin, “What brings you here to my camp?” “Well, I kinda need you. So Loki… can you maybe get your stuff together?” Alice asked. “I was trying be funny joke Light-ender.” Loki answered. “I know Loki, I know.” She said. The Eliksni jumped down from the flat rock he laid upon, shaking the ground. His large steps ate through the fragile white powder as he lumbered towards his possessions. “Light-ender?” The Loki said, stuffing a makeshift knapsack with his various belongings. “What if we see someone? Someone of your kind, perhaps?” Alice’s heart sank. She threw snow over the schoring fire. “Uh… well… well, shit.” Loki hunched down to the warlock that stood before him. “Tell em’ I’m your maidservant.” Loki asks. “That doesn’t sound like a good idea.” She answered. “Sure it is!” Loki laughed. “I look homeless enough, don’t I?” “Yeah, you do. You live in the woods, you smell a dead, murdered horse rotting in the sun! You fit the maidservant part quite well!” “See! I was right, wasn’t I!” “Yeah, yeah, I was wrong! You fit the part!” The laughing between the two ceased. Silence polluted the air. He grabbed the the scholar gently grabbing the frail warlock, afraid he’d snap her like a twig. The Fallen put the warlock on his top left shoulder. “Give me a sec’ Loki...” Alice said. In an instant, a tawny-brown, decrepit bow fell into the warlock’s hands. Ancient, but flexible the bow was crafted from ash wood. A ragged, crimson red cloth, placed where the grip would reside. Loki tilted his head towards the warlock that sat on his shoulder, observing the ancient bow. “You got everything now? We need to get a move on.” Loki growled. “Yeah, I got everything.” Alice replied. Loki raised himself off the snow covered ground. The colossal Fallen made way towards the towering pine forest that stood before him and the Guardian that sat on his shoulder. “Hey Loki, you do know you’re going the wrong way, right?” Alice remarked. “I know that.” Loki snickered, “But first, we got some friends to meet.” “Oh God. I already regret this decision.” She said. “Really? Are you sure your first mistake wasn’t trusting an Eliksni named “Loki?” He teased. “No, that was my second mistake.”
