Update: The S6 Pinnacle weapons will be available again for acquisition tomorrow 4/11 at 2PM Pacific after the hotfix.

I only use cores for infusion at max light, but I've used plenty. 2 sets of armor per character and 20 plus guns masterworked. I also have 8000 plus shards and 1000s of vendor mats. I buy stuff from spider and play milestones.

BS dude I am in top 1 percent playtime. Have infused tones of weapons and only have 29 cores at the moment. That not infusing for two weeks. So bull. You exploited somewhere along the way to have that many.

Oh hes doing the vendor rank up exploit, buy a material from spider for shards n turn them in to the vendor to get rank up packages which can include masterworked weapons. The 1 vid I saw was the guy doing it with brother Vance but u can do it with any vendor I think. The fact the dude thinks that a reasonable strat for cores is shocking

Yeah because I need to lie for.....what reason would u have to lie. What exploit has there been except the recent one. I have enough materials saved up that I could log in tonight and get well over 100 cores just from ranking up different vendors. If your a top 1 percent player and you do all the activities a week you'ld have plenty of cores unless you can't manage them. If I masterworked or infused carelessly I could have burned through my stock pile ten times. I only infused my endgame loadout when it mattered, I only infuse ledgendary gear when I get the same gear, that cost glimmer no cores. I only infuse the exotics I use in the tier 3 reckoning. Never had to use an exploit, sorry you put that many hours in and can't budget a simple currency.

I play the game every single night after my daughter goes to bed for 3 to 5 hours. I am smart with my infusions when I'm leveling, meaning that I try to level all the gear I can via glimmer only. (LW armor/guns, Reverie Dawn armor/guns, BA weapons/guns). I would do any infusing at the end of the week when I finished a my milestones. I do all my scrappers as soon as I get them and I do every core spider bounty. Hawthorne is also done every week. I pick up 2 cores from Spider everyday. Anything and everything I can do within my time frame I do. So why is it still an issue for me after putting in all that effort? Now Im trying to build my collection of cores back up, but I shouldnt be wasting my time farming for cores in the first place. I should be able to masterwork my guns like in D1, by using them. I shouldnt have to waste my cores infusing gear and instead be able to use them to masterwork my armor. How many hours a day do you get to play? How does one have 900 cores and a job/child? One parent on the forums said he had so many cores because, his son played on his account all day. Can you play on mine? (Sarcasm of course). -

Hour do not matter, I only play Gambit and Crucible when my milestones are done and I haven't done all the milestones all season. I've infused most of my gear and materworked a set of iron banner armor, I still have more cores than I started with this season. I've never done spider bounties and never do scrapper bounties unless they complete from an activity I'm participating in. I've never done an exploit. I get cores all the time. I'm not a supporter of the infusion system but cores are managable. Also I work 50 hours a week and have kids and grandkids.

I think hours do matter, being that more time playing equals more cores. As you said, just play the game right? If I'm trying to be strategic with my cores and I farm for cores, and you say you don't and yet you have so many, then hours do matter. How else do you have so many and I don't, when I'm the one who goes out of their way to get them? I'm glad that you at least agree its a problem. Wondering why you even replied to me if you agree with me? -
I was being a smart ass on the original...sorry. I don't get cores from Gambit and only get 10 per reset in crucible. I breakdown everything I don't use. Rng may have something to do with it. I also got a couple hundred from cookies when we had that event. It's not just cores I have multi thousands of every other material, I have been saving since D1 released, I never turn in mats for guns. I probably started Forsaken with 150 cores and just kept building. I've been a material hoarder since the farming days of D1 year 1.

No need to apologize. :) There's the factor. You're a veteran. I started late into COS/beginning of Warmind, with zero concept of how this game worked. My husband however, is a D1 and D2 vet. He had so many materials saved up from vanilla D2 and year 1 that he doesn't have the same issue I do. I even saw a good forum topic about a guy who has the same issue. Girlfriend started playing during Forsaken and he's a vet. I think its really an issue for anyone who joined in later on. Back then, materials were a lot easier to come by. Had I known that this was going to happen, I would have hoarded the everything crap out of everything. I was a noob tho lol I was just trying to catch up with everyone and get good at the game itself. Point is, I think its much harder for newer/still newish players who didn't have the opportunity to save everything. -
I agree, it's a huge issue fir late starters and the biggest reason I think they need removed from infusion. If veterans are having issues that's their fault entirely.

Most people aren’t material keepers by choice tho most want to feel accomplished or see progression that doesn’t take 3 months. I have a buddy in my clan who can take 3 months to hit max light due to restrictions and the amount of time he gets to play compared to me I’m always the first in the clan at max light and to get every weapon. For some time combined with all these changes makes things a lot harder to keep players happy in the game because everyone has different schedules and time zones and responsibilities and attention spans and grinding 40 strikes for service revolver was annoying enough 😩 not fun at all I just hate strikes now so easy no challenge and the same repetition is what drives people to complain about all this core farming and lack of exciting content

I still haven't finished those strikes.....6 more to go. I'd bang my head off the wall. I understand time constraints, but if I only played 3 hours a week I wouldn't expect to keep up with a 5 hour a day player.

The grind is real but your close, and yea hard to keep up with all the busy work and return to ada crap 😩 you definitely need time to enjoy this game because with all the limitations it’s no where near as fun as d1

Returning to the tower for anything is lame. I can't facetime vendors for bounties but I can send Holiday a giant chyrstal buried on titan just by pulling up my ghost...

Because, if I have the right end of the stick here, there was some exploit that let people claim the pinnacle weapons over and over again? I just picked up my Warlock again last night, wanted to start working on that Vanguard Scout Rifle...guess I have to wait 🤷♂️

Hey Cozmo just curious if you could give a timeframe on the pinnacle weapons being enabled again. Im not one who used the exploit and I really dont care for enhancement core problems as once you reach 700 light its not really an issue if you play all aspects of the game. I just grinded for the recluse and played it safe to get my 2100 rank for the reset. Id just like to know if we can expect the patch to come this week or if its such a strong exploit via game code that it will take a day or weeks. Appreciate it in advance.

How many people really completed the quest? It seems more fair to reenable with the broken part so that all of the few people who completed the end game task get the same benefit.

I think they should have left it alone UNTIL they fixed it. Generally, I would agree with their decision, but in this case, the damage is done, and cores do were already meaningless. So any inconvenience that translates to people who were just playing the game is a bad thing IMO. I get why they shut it down, but that was more for them than the players.

Why so all the people with the Pinnacle Weapons could farm like a 1000x better loot cave? No thank you. I already have little MW cores as it is and the people with a lot already complain to those asking for removal or tweaking of the MW economy due to lack of. People cheating the system is never ok and I', ok with it being TEMPORARILY down. I believe you can still work on them but not pick them up again right?
