"Your honor they had an internal accident and I have zero evidence of malicious intent, I want millions cuz muh reasons". Yeah. That'll be a boring case thrown out before it even goes to trial. Not even close to a legal problem, mostly because Sony couldn't afford it.

Except Bungie still has to perform due dilagence in honoring the contract. Which is what happened. Noticed Bungie didn't take away the guns, they just can't be used until the the contract says.

I don't know what happened to the guns at all. Stopped playing months ago. I just want to shit on Bungie whenever possible. But yes, this is it. Due diligence. It's such a non issue, not a single legal thing will happen.

How many months has it been since Bungie admitted that wearing 2+ pieces of armour with a heavy ammo drop perk results in you getting no ammo? But they can fix any issue that gives us a boost nearly instantly. So I glad I stopped playing March 9.

Yet here you are? People have the worst memories here, or just extremely selective. I also don’t see how fixing this issue is ruining anyone’s fun? I was unable to log in and exploit Xurs fated engram today, so why should some players have access to a weapon that I don’t? That’s not fair. Either release it to everyone, which is in breach of their contract, or don’t allow players to use it. Also, Bungie never admitted anything about ammo finder perks, except to say they do add an effect and work as intended. Which is my experience with them. Some random player doing a “test” doesn’t prove shit.

Balance issues take a lot to fix. Even worse now that they want to keep pc in the same sandbox. One balance change could tip the scale too far, like titans with infinite supers, they nerfed novawarp too hard, now it’s buffed. They do want to change spectral blades, but now it seems like they don’t want to swing so hard it makes the sub class useless. In pc, nerfing or removing Luna’s howl won’t mean much to them since ace, thorn, and last words dominate easily, so to pc, Luna and not forgotten is just an optional competitor to an exotic. Since frames are unlocked on pc, the game plays differently. Honestly, Bungie is better off separating the sandbox, so balance changes come faster rather than later. Because what they might change on console is minor, could be huge for pc. Like movement, range, what they nerf because of pc could make a subpar weapon on console even worse.

I’m sure it is important, but in business, following contracts and pleasing investors is of far higher priority than the whims of the consumer. Failing to abide by contracts will net bungie huge sums of money lost in the long run.

Not even remotely true. Wavesplitter being available to a select few players that were able to exploit it, and not in the loot pool for everyone it get is closer to a game breaking bug then anything else. There hasn’t been any game breaking bugs, at all, that have made it into the game, that weren’t addressed almost immediately. People here seem to use the word “game breaking” very loosely. Sandbox balance is the farthest thing from game breaking, unless there’s something in the sandbox that is only available to the few players that were able to exploit it.
