I'm not soo much ticked on Infusion costs. It's the Masterworking that is my biggest problem. I should not be spending 10-15 Cores to fully masterwork things. That's my biggest problem and something I think needs fixed. As long as you infuse after getting your armor stored to like 10-20 PL higher infusion is good. Masterworking is my pet peeve. I have one set of armor for the most part(trade chest and arms depending on subclass) and a handful of Y2 masterworked weapons and with the lack of cores to both divide between masterworking AND infusing is a bit much. Idk the fix but the only one I have a problem with is masterwork amounts. Just 2 cents from a D1 Beta vet who's still here enjoying the game for the most part.

  • Agreed, the cost and work (if its not fun its work) involved in master working is simply not justified by the results. Master worked gear hardly seems better at all. If not for the orbs (quarter sized orbs compared to D1) there would be no apparent value at all.

  • Exactly. Even the damage resistance of full MW only really affects PvE and even then you have to have full Masterworks of everything to feel powerful compared to all the other Guardians with more free time. I love this game/franchise and will continue to stick it out as I always have but removing at lest the HUGE amount for MWing would help. I infuse as I accrue high PL gear but I do it sparingly and every 10-20 PL higher before I do. I've made this somewhat work with what it is but I do feel gated by how many MW I have and those aren't something you can just go out and find. And the bounties are monotonous especially with the specific Lost Sector ones that end up on IO or places I don't go intentionally. D1's system was more streamlined and worked in chorus of whatever activity you were doing if I remember correctly. Now you have to specifically work on the MW item before moving on and Spider f***ed me the first week he showed because I just started buying because there had never been an exponential cost vendor before and I don't remember seeing anything on it until a day or so after. No way you can fix that mess up. So sadly I was out 1000-2000 legendary shards(as I played all D2 Y1 and had them saved).

  • Agreed. Another issue is players who used to run 3 characters, i always had a max warlock, hunter and titan. But if you check them now you will see that is no longer the case, and even when i max one of them there is no way i can afford decent gear.

  • Agreed. I made my Hunter and Warlock around TTK times and have at least popped on with them to work on them a bit. I have but they are substantially lower than my Titan main. Having to juggle all those cores would be hell between 3. I already have a hard enough time with one(though I guess you can transfer 700 weapons to the others but you'd still have to infuse armor). Idk. I want a fix but I almost feel they'd need to do a D2 Y1 revert to Infusion Cores.
