A darkness race probably exists but i dont think that it is what anonthenine described there and this leak is obviously fake.

Here’s a thought. The leak came out on April Fool’s. What if..just hear me out here...what if the “Veil” don’t actually exist and were made up as a joke?

That whole 'leak' is stupid. This Veil factions goal makes absolutely no sense. They, who are apparently the true servants of the Deep, are trying to revive their big bad Darkness boss called 'The Formless One' using Light. Meanwhile, they're also trying to kill the one thing that can grant them access to it, thus blatantly and openly sabotaging themselves. That's not even bringing up the fact that they don't even need the Light as Nokris has proven that [i]straight up Necromancy[/i] exists for them to use.

Hi, I’m revisiting this post, seeing that it’s still booming with conversation, and theres something more I’d like to say to everyone. Plenty of theories floating around, yet I see that the only [i]primary sources[/i] anyone has used are concept art. If anyone wishes to make a point, please back it up with direct evidence, like concept art or grimoires. (Keep in mind that the concept art gives no real evidence to this conversation. They are only images of a species, with nothing saying “These guys are called the Veil”) The words of a youtuber or a leak cannot always be trusted. I don’t want to hear anyone say “but this guy is reliable.” Human error is always possible, youtubers can mix in theories, leakers can release false information, and some people can be very annoying during April Fools. I've recently wondered if Bungie uses the D3 leaks to fish out who exactly anonthenine was. I'm convinced that they were a mid-level employee at Bungie. Perhaps they leaked different false or misleading D3 info to various employees and whichever they saw pop up online they knew was that particular employee. It was a GoT subplot a few seasons ago.

This brings up a question: what music theme will they have?

That's an early Concept-Art from the Development of Destiny 1. The 5th Race in the CA seems to be the "Veil".
