This is just my point of view on how vendors (specifically Crucible, Vangaurd and Drifter) should be more important. For Gear, make the vendors sell all weapons and armor with rotating perks at reset. And if we rank up make it where it was like Destiny 1 where you could choose between a weapon or armor package.
Another thing that could work out well is bring more bounties like Nightahade but with armor as well.

Here is the solution to the pvp being removed debacle/rumor. Bungie you do pretty good with pve stuff just add a bit more variety to boss mechanics. For example every boss in this game has a stomp mechanic. Change it up a bit and be creative with the bosses attacks/move set. For example instead of just a stomp and you fly backwards, have the boss shoot its gun/power in the sky and it makes a wave of energy pushing you back or does major damage if your caught in it. That was just one example for pve for how you can create variety with the enemies. Now for my solution with pvp. Remember how we had vendors in d1? We need vendors back and for this specific reason. Vendors sell every peice of armor for legendary shards or whatever. All of the faction vendors items cannot be used in pvp. The only loadouts you can use in the crucible will be from the crucible vendor. The crucible vendor will sell every peice of armor- helmet, arms, chest, legs, class item. The crucible will also sell every weapon archetype in the game. Of course these will all be themed for the crucible so their style will all match "red and white" or whatever colors you decide for crucible. So there now you can have pve have its power fantasy with crazy loot and when you want to go in the crucible, you have to have on a complete set of crucible gear- weapons and armor. Do you see where I am going with this? That way you can have you pvp balance and let pve have its power fantasy uncapped. Crucible would then be closer to year 1 of d2 but hey at least it would be balanced and when you beat the other team, you know it's because you're better and not your meta loadout. And you can call that the competitive crucible. Then you can have crazy crucible or whatever you'd like to call it to where everyone can wear the loadouts they want like how the crucible is now. Let me know if this sounds stupid or good. Thanks
