To the PVE players hoping PVP is removed.

1. PVE is easy mode 100%. Facing predictable bots with set mechanics of when and how they will use their abilities is not even hard. PVP is where skills are honed and clutch plays are made. 2. Crucible is apart of the lore. 3. If you really need more "Power fantasy" in PVE than you already have then I wonder how you even expect to feel reward from something so easy. If you want to pop super and have it last the entire strike so you feel powerful then fine, but don't act like that makes you good. Just means you steamroll bots on easy mode. 4. PVP players on the whole would never want PVE removed just because bungie have issues with balance. PVP players shouldn't lose out just because bungie suck at balance. 5. People paid for a full game so taking that away means everyone looses on some level.

 •
steamroll bots on easy mode.
This is a video game. That's why we bought the video game. We could do this in D1; then they nerfed things... and here we are. We used to have Small Arms, Specialist, Burn, increased super recharge (forgot the name), along with Heavyweight, Grenadier, and Brawler. We used to not have modifiers in strikes/raids. Used to have Supers that killed shielded Ultras. All that is gone. Replaced it with Blackout, Glass, Iron, Prism, Match Game, Grounded, Momentum, and Attrition. Set raid loadouts for challenges. Who ever thought these things were fun, or okay? For what? All these changes were made to slow our characters down and make the game less fun. Why? None of this is even mentioning the broken economy, timers on activities, time gated quests... This game was fun at one time; pvp aside. So I'm guessing it was to make players "feel" more normal; they nerfed the fun. Where did Sparrow Racing go lol? To this day no one has ever said why the change from fun steamroll to miserable. Not all of these changes/nerfs were pvp related, but 95% were (weapon balance, abilities, Supers). Is it because the state of pvp players fussing about everything that killed them made the developers want to make pve bad too? Because it seems like that's what they did. And what did we get out of it?: Mayhem in Crucible. A modifier that is the ultimate power fantasy of PvP players. Basically unlimited supers/grenades. Sprinkle in Heavy Ammo and it's like catnip for tryhards. The reason for the pve/pvp argument is because when this franchise was doing its cool advertising in the beginning, they didn't have Guardians shooting at each other(pvp), they had Guardians sneaking up on Cabal jumping Sparrows over sand dunes(pve, srl). I would say it was false advertising but at this point it doesn't matter. Except it drew in a Large number of pve players wanting to have fun and steamroll aliens on easy mode because of who published it, and their previously fun alien shooting game. I never played 1 match in Halo pvp. I played Call of Duty pvp, only after I finished the campaigns. I had a positive overall k/d in a CoD game playing hardcore mode so when I say the pvp in this game isn't great, it isn't great. That's not why I bought it. I bought it to (to quote the OP):
steamroll bots on easy mode.
Anyway, the point of this reply is: this game has always had more pve players than pvp players. I can accept that and play the required pvp for loot and most quests. Quickplay is fine; Clash, Control, Supremacy, even Rift. Competitive mode is anything but; no competition when only certain weapons are attainable by certain people, and certain people only use those certain weapons. I hope this game can find a balance someday.
