Those scrapper and Spider bounties are designed for players who are desperate on cores.
If you actually play the endgame content and infuse wisely, you should NEVER be broke on cores.
The general players who complain about enhancement cores are indeed the type of players who NEVER touch the endgame content.

And that is exactly why an endgame currency like cores shouldn't be attached to the simple mechanic of infusion Cores are for masterworking and any future endgame enhancement options they might add (making perks stronger, stuff like that)

Cores are for infusing towards endgame content and masterworking. People are just infusing mindlessly on the early levels when it doesn't even matter. Added to that, these players never touch endgame content anyway. So what is there main reason for infusing? Just look high level in crucible? Light level doesn't matter in PVP. I doubt most players are avid Gambit players where invasion is an issue. So the question, why chase for high levels if they never do the content that demands high level?

Here's a better question, why not let people infuse mindlessly and chase the higher light levels without participating in endgame content? It keeps people playing the game. Who cares that they're infusing and not doing endgame stuff, they're playing the game, and hopefully enjoying their time
