It's literally pointless to have cores in Infusion
People that have tons of cores don't experience the reason they were added, and people that don't have cores aren't able to use the stuff they want at their highest light
There's no reason to keep them in at this point

Not only that..to charge glimmer AND planetary material to boot? Just to infuse? Just too much.
-
Well it seems that their staying but again availability is key now those who don’t have enough cores can go to banshee get some gunsmith bounties do them and get cores plus they’d save shards from buying directly from spider. So instead of looking at the trending look past that and ask even if they were removed from infusion is buying them from spider the best option or do the glimmer gunsmith bounties sound better?
-
Those bounties are nothing but time extenders, which will still not help the players that don't have much time to dedicate to this game Baseline parts of the game like infusion should still be accessible for the casual playerbase
-
Those scrapper and Spider bounties are designed for players who are desperate on cores. If you actually play the endgame content and infuse wisely, you should NEVER be broke on cores. The general players who complain about enhancement cores are indeed the type of players who NEVER touch the endgame content.
-
And that is exactly why an endgame currency like cores shouldn't be attached to the simple mechanic of infusion Cores are for masterworking and any future endgame enhancement options they might add (making perks stronger, stuff like that)
-
Cores are for infusing towards endgame content and masterworking. People are just infusing mindlessly on the early levels when it doesn't even matter. Added to that, these players never touch endgame content anyway. So what is there main reason for infusing? Just look high level in crucible? Light level doesn't matter in PVP. I doubt most players are avid Gambit players where invasion is an issue. So the question, why chase for high levels if they never do the content that demands high level?
-
Here's a better question, why not let people infuse mindlessly and chase the higher light levels without participating in endgame content? It keeps people playing the game. Who cares that they're infusing and not doing endgame stuff, they're playing the game, and hopefully enjoying their time

Now I know why I took a break from the fourms cause of this

Valid feedback from a good portion of the playerbase not being able to dedicate their lives to this game? Infusion is one of the most baseline mechanics in the game, on level with things like gunplay, campaign, and loot, and should be easily accessible and not blocked off by an endgame currency
