Jotunn: Remove it or turn into Heavy Weapon
I’ve posted in the past about how so many in the community, myself included, fear that people are losing their patience with the franchise. Jotunn is one of the many, but definitely very severe, major issues with the game. Crucible has turned into a playground for people who just don’t really know how to play PvP that well, so they use Jotunn. The almighty, powerful Jotunn kills your enemy with one burst that actually tracked its target in the first place. It’s as if the projectiles from Telesto started to follow you around until it satisfied it’s quench in killing you.
Bungie, before it is too late, please turn Jotunn into a heavy weapon or require it to use heavy ammo. If that’s too complicated, we are better off without the cheese anyway. Yes, Jotunn is nothing more than a cheese, a glitch, a crutch for those players who are desperate for kills because they lack skill. I’m not saying this will be the case every time, but it is the majority.
Bungie, for future releases of weapons of this category, you may want to start a poll for us players in the community to respond to. You may want to consider the longevity of the franchise. Jotunn is a first class ticket to the end of the franchise. Get rid of it now or change to a heavy weapon, please! I would actually like to be able to play the game and newer versions of it in the future. Jotunn as we know it will make that very challenging, if not impossible.

Majority of people missing the point, Jotuun has become without a doubt the try hard weapon, if a team is losing 75% of the time 1/2 of them will pull out a Jotunn to steal back the lead. It's not that a single jotunn can change the flow of a pop game. It's when one team starts spamming a weapon that us a 1 shot kill, gives you 2 shots every life, and receives additional ammo per kill. Meanwhile vex mythos was nerfed hard in d1 for being to fast wit 5 shots

1 ReplyThe tracking isn't that good and it has a charge time. Stop complaining about a weapon that doesn't even get used very often. I play a good amount of PvP and rarely see it.

Crucible has turned into a playground for people who just don’t really know how to play PvP that well, so they use Jotunn. I'm not usually one to call someone out as my stats are terrible but to say crucible is a playground for people who don't know how to play you have to have stats that are at least positive to say that. Maybe you should try jotun to help you 😂

6 RepliesI don't see where is is coming from. The gun does require some skill to use and while it has tracking, the tracking isn't nova bomb status. There are ways to out play someone using Jotunn (getting into their face), but by no means is the gun point, click and free kill. I can see it like this if you're not actively paying attention to your enemies but, a better player or a player who has knowledge of the gun can avoid its shots entirely.
