1. PVE is easy mode 100%. Facing predictable bots with set mechanics of when and how they will use their abilities is not even hard. PVP is where skills are honed and clutch plays are made.
2. Crucible is apart of the lore.
3. If you really need more "Power fantasy" in PVE than you already have then I wonder how you even expect to feel reward from something so easy. If you want to pop super and have it last the entire strike so you feel powerful then fine, but don't act like that makes you good. Just means you steamroll bots on easy mode.
4. PVP players on the whole would never want PVE removed just because bungie have issues with balance. PVP players shouldn't lose out just because bungie suck at balance.
5. People paid for a full game so taking that away means everyone looses on some level.

6 RepliesI think you’ll find most PvE based players who want PvP removed is because they don’t enjoy PvP and don’t want to play it, but PvP has quite an effect on the PvE side of the game with exotics, skills and super balancing quite often carrying over to PvE. If PvP was its own mode with its own weapons, armor, skills and balancing that didn’t carry over to PvE and didn’t affect PvE in anyway, I bet those players asking for it to be removed wouldn’t care if D3 still had PvP. These modes should be 100% separate. I’d much rather have a PvP character I could up through a cool little crucible ‘story’. Have sponsors like Omolon, Suros etc you do PvP quests for to get gear or exotics. Represent a faction in PvP for more rewards. Make it more of a sport like spectacle with fireworks, flashing lights etc. Would be much more exciting and colourful than what we have now.
