Destiny 2 Account Ban
My account, too, has been banned.
I know there is no recourse having read about so many others also being banned recently. I can only hope SOMEONE takes notice and sees that something has gone terribly wrong. Many are being banned either by mistake or by a bug or something.
I have thousands of hours in this game and nothing about me or my computer has changed. Something really wrong has happened, and I truly hope it is not the waste of time I've made playing this game.

PC Bans are usually due to 3rd party software, such as cheat engine, running in the background. The system submits an auto-report with the information to the Bungie team. You'll have to create a new account and buy the game again if you wish to continue playing.

It's their policy to ignore ban posts on the help forum bcs their policy states that there is no way to appeal the ban or discuss it the employes cant help you even when they want. i would never ask one to risk theyre jobs for this I think some of these bans are unwarranted. But some are truly rightfull And you don’t have to activily cheat to get banned the existence of something that could [b]eventually in rare circumstances maybe [u]could[/u][/b] [b]do something [/b] with D2 is probably enough to get you banned. For example, an ambient light software that behave and seems like an aimbot might get you banned, as it probably did in my case. If the employee tasked with assessing these flags doesn't research these processes, they might assume that you are cheating and they will ban you. We can not blame them for that, they only do their work and are only human the lack of comunication is what bothers me on this cases bcs if this would be made the right way it could help improving the Anti-Cheat in the future and will prevent from ´´missinterpretations´´ ( excample above) in the future keeping good players in Destiny so it can be there for a while i wish for it I'm telling you all of this to help you understand your situation. I don't want to be mean. If you believe Bungie has mistakenly banned you, tweet at them and ask them to review their process and the recent account bans politely. 18 RepliesThis is a ridiculous ban policy. It's funny how these issues only happen on PC because bungies ai is so incompetent that it flags cheaters and legit players alike. And all this bs about bungie manually checking every ban is just one guy seeing the AI flag and clicking accept.

He is one of the kindest guardians I know, always quick to help new players and old ones alike, and has become the backbone of our clan over the years. He took me through some of my very first raids and has always been a shining example of what I think bungie wants from guardians in its community. With all that said, I cannot speak to the reason why he was banned, but I can speak in full confidence that it is surely a mistake. For those in the comments that continue to spam Bungie's EULA or who simply think Bungie has [b]never[/b] wrongly banned someone I ask you this: If governments have wrongfully jailed innocent people before, then why do you expect a game company to not make the same mistake? Bans don't even have a review process or appeals process and are done automatically through software which should already be a huge joke. As a software developer I can tell you policing bans through a software program is going to lead to tons of unjust bans that could be for multiple different reasons. Just look at Youtube's demonetization system which in 2018 started accidentally flagging lgbt videos on youtube for demonetization and caused a huge controversy for their company. Automatic, non-human reviewed bans are going to ban a small margin of people unjustly. The catch is that it will probably ban 99% of people who deserve bans and costs Bungie a lot less than if they had to instate a review process for all the wrongful bans. All this just tells me is that Bungie doesn't care. They don't care if you or I are banned wrongly so long as they [i]mostly[/i] ban the right people. Banning people without even a review and leaving no appeals process behind just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It reeks of "Oops sorry! It actually says here in our EULA that all bans are final and there's nothing you can do about it since we absolutely 100% [b][i]NEVER[/i][/b] ban anyone who didn't deserve a ban!" It's like walking into a store to buy something only to find out its broken, so you walk back to the counter to return it and they go, "We have a strict no refund policy, also we don't sell anything that's broken so that couldn't possibly be our fault." If they can wrongfully ban one of the best guardians I know, then what hope do the rest of us have? Fix your shit Bungie.

My account got restricted on Tuesday on this date. is it because whenever I play competitive with my friend I get ddosed at least twice and the game thinks I'm quitting or ruininng the game for other people?. Maybe that or its that one game when i popped off with the sniper and the guys against me thought I was cheating so they reported me. I don't actually know I'm confused. I don't want you to remove the restriction I just wanna know why my account got restricted. it's so frustrating..

I was also banned for a third party driver updater (only thing other than discord I was running), so you're not alone in this. Bungie really needs to take a look at the way they treat their playerbase, especially now since they can't fall back on Activision.

3 RepliesI have this same issue as well, and the same case as you do. To all the people linking Bungie's ban policy, I really appreciate your efforts to root out and discourage 'cheaters' like us, but I think the point you're missing is that Bungie isn't perfect sometimes. I respect their company very much and their hard work, but everyone screws up. We get that Bungie's official policy does not entail reviewing appeals, but again, we've done nothing wrong. I don't think you would stand by either in this situation. We just want our accounts back or a reason why we got banned.

3 RepliesIf you bought the game through the battle.net then 72 hours for a refund. I was banned too, I am a PvE player, I do not understand why I am banned. In PvP events I am always at the bottom of the list.

Banned here too! I started in the beta and came back just recently. Bungie, if you're gonna make me spend another $60 you could at least tell me what program was flagged as violating your CoC. Was it Synapse? Discord? Nvidia Geforce? Instead of hiding behind a BS blanket statement, let me know where the issue is so I can resolve it.

Happened to me as well. A full account ban. Pre-ordered the 100 dollar version of the game + all the following dlc. Hundreds of hours invested and now "poof", account banned. Thx bungie
