Good, the PvP whiners have been ruining online games for 20 years now. Destiny would be amazing if they completely dropped PvP. I'd probably actually play.

You do realize that having PVP and PVE is one of the major things that separates Destiny from games like Borderlands, right? If they remove PVP, this game will fail. I get that PVP has always been something thats kinda been controversial in the community, but I believe it provides far more good than bad. It really makes the game unlike anything else out there. The fact that I can pick up a gun from PVE and have the mindset of "I wonder how good this would be in PVP" is -blam!-ing cool to me. No other game does that for me. Until bungie proves that this game will do better without PVP, and that they can create satisfying feedback loop that doesnt get old so quickly, then sure. I dont really like Destiny 2's PVP state with the Lunas and NF, but I still appreciate it for what it is, and I remember D1's PVP really became solid around y3. If they can just keep it the same in the next game (once they have it figured out), then that would be fine. Balance should have no effect between the two modes, however.

Edited by LethiaAlethia: 4/1/2019 7:05:11 PMThere is so much lore and story and worldbuilding potential that a purely PvE-based Destiny could possibly compete with Borderlands and other loot-shooters, if done right and not as half-baken as it is now. The Division and stuff already greatly differs in setting and perspective. Some dislike Borderlands for the visuals, it certainly has less fantasy elements too. If Bungie wanted to the gane could stand upright even without PvP - or maybe all the easier.

If Bungie was actually decent at telling a story, id be on board with you. But im not. Each of their campaigns have been fundamentally failures so far, and I really feel like Bungie is still trying to rush D3 out of the gates of development because theyre probably afraid of waiting too long to make profit off their game. Cutting PVP just feels like them trying to make a shortcut.

That's not the point, pvp= nerfs, so you can not play it, but you will still be affected by its presence. Moot point, it needs to go.

Every nerf was done on both sides pv0 and pve go read patch notes.

So happy to see pve players voicing their opinions on here vs the streamers and rest of 1% that main pvp. Glad to see bungie finally figuring out pvp players are the minority and hopefully focus on better more rewarding and replayable pve with a lot more customization options. I agree 100% that destiny has been plagued in pve bc of pvp and it’s balancing needs. Good riddance pvp, you won’t be missed by me!
