So it was pointed out that many aspects of the supposed D3 leak are false, but apparently some bits are true. One thing that is mentioned is The Veil and their leader The Formless One, and how they are the Darkness.
What about the second race that is mentioned, the Aphelion? We have heard of Nezarec the Hated before, and how “his sin was so great”. What if the Aphelion are Nezarec’s army who were so evil they were exiled from the Veil themselves? Just speculation; 2 Darkness races would be better than 1!

15 Replies1. Nezarec? That name is a PRE GOLDEN AGE MYTH. Just like God. PRE Golden Age. From BEFORE even the Traveler. So...no. Nezarec isn’t an actual character in the lore. Get it out of here. 2. The “Veil” is not their name.

Nezarec is nothing, the veil is probably a place holder and the allies part is probably true.

1 ReplyAnother thing is that the Fallen and Cabal may be joining us

<First off: get the word Nezarec out of your head. Next: Issues come up when discussing the nature and naming of enemies. The Aphelion is a creature of Darkness, the real life definition and the abilities are evidence unto themselves. The name "veil" has been used multiple times in Destiny's lore, but it's inconsistent. The only time the word veil gets stuck in my head is when reading Dust. In that case it meant the Darkness. The last thing is about their motives. It's odd that two people within months of each other said the same thing about wanting the Light to resurrect the Deep. While the Formless One is another real term that directly means Darkness, I don't know... I don't know. The reason behind this motivation could be simple. The Darkness itself once led the Armada, but when the Traveler fought back, the Deep was destroyed. Now they have to bring it back THEN destroy it.>

9 RepliesI legitimately think Nezirac is a dead end that Bungie has no interest of continuing, too much effort for something that would ultimately convolute the games lore Just say it's a golden age cult and call it a day
