Getting tired of getting launched off the bridge on tier 3 reckoning

I agree, but they won't change it. Sad that the villains in a distant, highly technological future kill their enemies by stomping on the ground. Although they do it in a way that violates the laws of physics, which makes them evil law breakers who must die!

Honestly I’d like to see the yellow bar bosses grab and throw us like the Gate Lord in that one piece of concept art
-
1 ReplyNo, they will keep it as is because it's "impactful". hahahaha XD sorry... I'll let myself out.
-
I’m fine with the stomp damaging me, but there is no reason why I should get sent to -blam!-ing orbit.
-
I don't mind the stomp mechanic, but dear God not on everything bigger than a dreg! One of the biggest annoyances i have with games is not being in control of movement. Destiny 2 is appalling for this. I honestly thought when they introduced the ability to mantle they had a clue what they were doing, but then i tried to run through a map. The smallest rock or step meant i needed to jump to progress forward. Like.... saviour of the universe, destroyed gods and invasions, but cant lift your foot 6 centimetres to traverse a step?!? Then came a colossus cabal. Stamp. Dead. Seriously?! I'm about 5 meters away and him stamping his foot killed me?? Then taken shield idiots appeared and booped me over cliffs. FINE! Then ascendent challenges and shattered throne and floor/wall boopers. Just. Go. AWAY! So now we get a narrow bridge where its not the snipers, not the wave over wave of adds are the issue. It's something stamping its foot 5 meters away throws everyone over the edge and we need to wait 20 seconds to revive on a mission that allows 30 seconds to unlock each step. And people thought this a good idea???

i wouldnt mind stomping if it did more damage directly to you, but the whole "blasting off" across a map is literally stupid and it makes using a sword pointless. or even a shotgun. let me play how i want.
-
Especially when you jump over them and it still launches you.
-
The phalanx push is stupid as well. Launches you way to far
-
2 RepliesIt ruins tier three.
-
3 RepliesI feel they just need to have the enemy races have more of an identity rather than reused animations. Make more distinctions in what they do at least. Yes the stomp mechanic is used to stop shotgun spam ez clap melts but still atleast add flavour. Tbh only the knights should have a "stomp" type mechanic. Let Vex discharge and electric wave disabling you or something if you come up close or so.

Edited by axefriendlyfun: 4/2/2019 11:25:48 AMMost bosses are huge, so why aren't they meleeing you and punching you to the floor or picking you up throwing you, use your imagination. Stuff like that would be fun! Watching your teammate being picked up and thrown across the map followed by the boss posturing or emoting would be a laugh!
-
The distance it throws you is stupid and unrealistic even relative to fighting aliens with space magic.
-
Edited by Good Apollo: 4/3/2019 5:04:21 AMYou think that’s bad? The taken ogre eye blast that won’t let you recover and pushes you into a furious wave of shadow thrall is pretty damn awful.
-
2 RepliesTitans should have an exotic that prevents kickback
-
I played reckoning last night , i was on platform 5 . I wish i captured this but i do not record my game play. I had an ogre blast catch ne in mid air jumping from 5 to 6 and he shot me back to the beginning area where you start the event.. But yeah it needs to be toned down. i never die from anything but getting blown off the bridge or the ocasional sniper shot that seems to come from no where.

Yah Bungie needs to take a break from they're cereal advertising and take a look at the knockback in D2. Several times my team were at the end of tier three waves right before the boss and the duel ogre knockback LITERALLY threw us to the complete EDGE of the map!!!!!! That is just plan ubsurd Bungie.

Fully agree, even see vigors have it. Cabal makes sense, it’s a big foot. The rest it doesn’t make sense.

Destiny 3: The Boopening

If you're a titan, the ACD/O fence exotic mitigates some of the knockback I've found. As for an actual fix, I would rather the knockback be from some sort of melee windup on knights/sword users with the others doing a disable as a stomp. Maybe some sort of daze mechanic that does the same thing as the knockback but makes fighting on ledges less annoying. Yes you can learn when to dodge/melee counter or whatever, but I would say it's far from an interesting mechanic and the same result could be achieved without a massive knockback. Some bosses could still use it, but if it's not on every big boss it starts making it a mechanic to plan for.
-
It’s also annoying when you’re trying take attack an enemy in a barrier and then you get stomped out and the barrier blocks your shot.
-
Yep....it’s fcuking annoying!
-
The bridge is supposed to be harder and if no stomp existed then there will be no challenge for an encounter that would normally kill runs
-
Thanks for your feedback on this! Due to the perceived confusion on this mechanic we are renaming this the "shockwave" mechanic. Now when you are launched off the map by the gambit meatball it will make more sense! Thanks for your continued feedback as it helps us make a more enjoyable game experience.

Quickfang, and crownsplitter can both negate the pushback. Quickfang just beats it completely Crownsplitter can havoc you back to the ground.

16 RepliesWhat do you propose you do? The boss just does nothing and let’s you barel stuff them until they die? I don’t see the issue it’s been like this forever.
