In Destiny 1, I always looked forward to Iron Banner. The armor looked really cool and the weapons were always just as appealing. On top of that, the weapons were some of the best in the game.
Now in D2, the armor is kind of ugly in my opinion, like it has been every other season. Enough with this weird wood look. Give armor that's along the lines of what Saladin is wearing himself and let them roll enhanced perks. And then buff those enhanced perks.
Then we get the weapons. The weapons are subpar, except for a few of them if you get the right roll. But that's virtually impossible. My friends and I turned in all our saved tokens and did all our weekly bounties. This came out to close to 20 packages each, and as for me, 18 of those packages were armor. Why I can't choose a weapon or armor package when I rank up is beyond me.
I feel like I wasted my time in Iron Banner, much like the other activities. In Reckoning, I grind for a hand cannon and complete over 100 tier 3 runs, get some Misfits.
In Gambit, I reset my rank 16 times and done all bounties/milstones trying to get a good Bygones, get a lot of armor and some pillagers. I've probably gotten less than 10 Bygones in all that, all of them being bad.
In Iron Banner, I do everything that's available and deal with the NF sweat fest to maybe get a decent Roar of the Bear or a better Bite of the Fox. Nope. Got almost exclusively armor.
I understand that RNG is part of the game but this is ridiculous. Why world drops can drop from activities instead of the loot tied to that activity is beyond me. You shouldn't get a Translation Theory for completing a Gambit or Reckoning event. It should either be a piece of Gambit or Reckoning gear, respectively. And why I can't choose what kind of package I'd like when I rank up is also an issue. Keeping the loot system broken as it is makes players feel like their time is wasted.

The weapons are absolutely terrible. There is no way to sugar coat it.
