PSA: People that have been Banned

Disputing a Ban or Restriction
There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Permanent account bans are only implemented with rigorous checking to ensure that the innocent are not punished alongside the guilty. Bungie does not comment on or discuss individual account restriction or bans.
PC Third-Party Applications
Running third-party PC applications that are incompatible with Destiny 2 on PC may impact game performance or prevent the game from running properly. Bungie will not ban or restrict players for using common third-party applications such as Discord, XSplit, OBS, RTSS or other apps as outlined in the DESTINY 2 PC AND THIRD-PARTY APPLICATION FEATURE COMPATIBILITY. However, Bungie reserves the right to ban or restrict players that are using third-party applications to violate our Code of Conduct or the license agreement that governs Destiny as outlined above. Bans and restriction are not applied automatically. Bungie reviews all possible violations before applying a ban or restriction to an account or device.
Before further reading, you will not get an official response from a Bungie representative, nor unbanned. No matter how hard you beg or plead innocent, no one cares. There were only 4 people at the launch of PC D2 that got unbanned because of a malfunction with the Discord overlay being flagged. THAT WAS IT. PERIOD. Spamming posts on the forums will only result in you receiving a temporary ban for disruption. Bans, Restrictions, and Suspensions Suspensions are first offense punishments that lock you out of a certain activity for 30-60 minutes Restrictions are second offense punishments that lock you out of an activity from anywhere to 2 weeks to 2 months Bans are third offense punishments that completely lock you out of an activity, meaning it's permanent and there's no expiration for when it'll run out. Common Reasons Why These Happen •Leaving games purposefully •Lagging out/getting booted for something out of your control (yes they can tell the difference but you're still putting your team at a disadvantage)
Beginning soon, players with the most unreliable connections will receive an in-game warning. We know that connection quality is fluid, so don’t worry if you have occasional, temporary issues. If you receive one of these warnings, please visit the Network Troubleshooting Guide. If your connection does not improve, there are additional guides available that can help you in diagnosing advanced network issues. If all else fails, contact your ISP for assistance. If your connection does not improve after an in-game warning, and we continue detecting a negative impact on other Guardians, restrictions from PvP activities may be applied to your account. If a restriction is applied to your account, you will be unable to participate in PvP for two weeks. If you continue to play on an unreliable connection that harms the experience of other players, that restriction may be extended. As always, you can find the latest information on Bungie’s ban and restriction policies at bungie.net/bans.
NOTE: There are no options to shorten or lift any of these punishments, you'll have to suffer the consequences like any other person. You're not a snowflake. Sources Official Ban Policy TWaB 12/20/2018 TL;DR Bungie does not discuss bans and will not lift them. PC Bans are usually due to 3rd party software, such as cheat engine, running in the background. The system submits an auto-report with the information to the Bungie team. You'll have to create a new account and buy the game again if you wish to continue playing. Console bans are commonly distributed because of: A) Being the cheater (cheating such as DDoS'ing) B) Guilty by Association a.k.a playing with the cheater either intentionally or unintentionally Reporting If you suspect a player is cheating, please report in-game first if you're able to. If not, fill out this form at the bottom of the article. Do not come running on the forums and provide their name, that's naming and shaming, which is against the forum's Code of Conduct, and will more than likely get you a warning or temporarily banned.
