Enable all Crucible maps to be used in Quickplay

I hardly see Emperor's Respite In QP anymore since Forsaken. And Ive never seen Eternity in there too. Would be nice to add to the variety

  • sry ur just plain wrong. Emperor’s got removed because it’s a horrible map. Eternity is equally as common as all maps. Y

  • Emperor's Respite and Eternity are just too small for 6v6. Same story for Solitude; I have no idea why it's still in Quickplay, especially for Control. All 3 maps are perfect for Rumble, though. They almost seem tailor-made for it. What the game really needs is more maps, especially more open and unobstructed maps. A lot of the current maps have too many obstructions, which hurts the effectiveness of ranged weapons like Scouts, Snipers and Linear Fusions. Something like Rusted Lands from D1 is what we need.

      • I think that's a good plan. Also, they should try a crazy idea - as a one- off, make an entire planet into a pvp zone. It's still 6v6, but the spawns shift around the map as the battle progresses. Your radar gives a very vague direction to where the enemy is, and you push each other around the entire playable world zone throughout the battle. Imagine fighting through the titan arcology, or across the Io landscape.

              Emperor's Respite is completely unbalanced in any team mode that's not Countdown though. It didn't work at all in Control, and there's nowhere else you could put the flags or Heavy to make it so. Whoever got A Flag spawn won the game borderline everytime, because you can see B from your spawn, have more angles to it from your side of the map, and just camp to win. And B's just a hop and some skips away from A. The people who get C Flag spawn can easily just get choked out, since there are only so few exits, and they have to travel much further to get to them since their spawn is much, much deeper. Entry/Low Pipe is shutdown by one person near B Flag with a Pulse/Scout/Sniper, the gapped entrance to B Flag is suicide, and trying to go Patio is still easily cut off by anyone near B Flag(or even the rare person sitting on the little ledge/island on the side). The same thing would apply to Clash, but it'd be even campier. That's why it was removed. It looks really nice, but it just doesn't work. God-forbid they ever put Eternity into a respawn mode. That'd just be disastrous. Tbh, I actually wish they'd remove the newer maps(Firebase Echo, Equinox, and Citadel) from QP, because the gamemode they were literally made for, Breakthrough, had to be taken out multiple times itself because it didn't work(still doesn't) and is easily exploited. So now you have maps that weren't ever designed for the QP gamemodes in rotation, and it just feels awful. Especially Control on Firebase(capping B without something like a Barricade is a death sentence), or Clash on Equinox. Even Equinox was taken out of Comp.(it was only for Survival), most likely because it just promoted camping in spawn for Supers.

              • They removed emperors respite because control on it was too one sided, one team was pretty much guaranteed a win for being on one side of the map.

                  • I don't care what they do as long as they get rid of Solitude. It's such crap spawning on C side and watch the other team cap A before you even get to C and then they're at B as you cap C. Garbage.

                  • 6v6 in maps made for 4v4? I don’t recognize those names but that’s probably why they aren’t in QP. It’d be like Shipment (COD4) all over again.

                          • Great idea. Thanks for the post. I second this. Since it's almost a given that crucible won't have any new maps probably until September - and even then, who knows - adding those two maps to the QP rotation would actually breath some fresh air to the playlist, which is [b]sorely[/b] needed. A very small move, I know, but at this point I will take what I can get. I've actually never played Emperor's Respite in QP, only in Rumble and Comp.
