Please for the love of God put an end to Spectral Spam in PvP. Spectral and 5 Super mods is just Obnoxious now.

The big problem here is that you can swipe forever on the ground (the wrong way to use this super btw) and barely lose any energy. Also, disabling super mods and super exotics entirely in pvp would be a huge improvement (and make spectral significantly less annoying w/o gwinsin)

1 ReplyHe's a quick solution to all this: Remove supers from PvP entirely OR, have a "well of light" spawn on the map at certain points in the game that only one person can use to gain their super - kinda like how the heavy weapons used to spawn in Halo or like the ammo spawns currently in Destiny (but obviously a longer spawn time). This would stop super spamming dead in its tracks and would likely reduce the calls for super nerfs by a large margin. We need compromises when it comes to PvP, that much is clear.

What's even more frustrating? I suck with this super - even with the exotic vest - I can barely get one kill - most of the time my opponents just back pedal and shoot me until I die - LOL!

3 RepliesI get your point, it is brutal to play against at times, and this is coming from a spectral blades main. It is possible to shut it down by teamshotting, but can cause mayhem in QP where teams aren't organised. That having been said, there are other supers which i personally think are as/ almost as strong - sentinel, striker and dawnblade. One of the main issues for me is that there aren't actually that many good super options for hunters that also have strong neutral games. Golden gun is great, but so easy to counter. Blade barrage - terrible neutral game. Arcstrider - seems to last about 10 seconds so people just run away. Tether - useless. So partly i think it's because hunters are to a degree forced into running it which cuts down on diversity.

5 RepliesEdited by mpuchar: 3/27/2019 5:41:33 PMYeah it's mind boggling that they decided to nerf code of the juggernaut, (which you rarely see in pvp), nerf sentinel/ursa's, nerf macro skating, nerf nova warp to the point of it being useless, but leave the most powerful super in pvp untouched. Josh Hamrick must've been a hunter main. In all seriousness, I don't want them to nerf spectral blades, I want them to bring all other supers up to par with spectral blades, but Bungie hasn't seemed to grasp that concept, at least not since Curse of Orisis' "Go Fast" update. (The only time they had the right idea on what we want in an update) If you have to buff pve boss damage or make adds tankier, add more difficult mechanics, so be it. Stop with the nerfs

Supers are just cheap kills. I wouldn't mind seeing an end to supers in pvp... or maybe just a mode without them

I used it for first time yesterday in IB and it's easy mode...without vest it lasts forever 10-15sec irrespective of swipes. Makes tether builds pointless in pvp (MQ I'm looking at you for being utterly useless all around). I have 100K+ destiny pve & pvp kills using top tree void Hunter, so a little bit of experience with the class.

I love tethering their asses. I dont think anything needs a nerf personally. Although i hate hearing that super go off...no matter where i am across the map i know they are gonna reach me...

Speaking a spectral pvp user. Duration time is way to long for sure. That needs to be chopped. Maybe a slight nerf to damage resistance. Other than that it's fine.

192 RepliesHammer/sentinel/dawnblade spam is worse. Much worse. You are just biased. Spectral is easy to outrun because it is a melee super.

3 RepliesEdited by J4RDAAN_: 3/27/2019 2:54:02 PMWhat I think that needs to be done to balance supers is: -spectral blades: every swoosh costs more energy or reduce animation speed. -sunbreaker (top tree): increase damage output for pve and make it a little bit longer (I miss those days when hammers could track enemies). Nova bomb: reduce its damage (it deletes half the health bar on yellow bar enemies) and its turn radius (It almost can make U turns).
