Please make public events more rewarding
Hello Bungie,
Please make public events more rewarding, currently you get 2 damn blues and some materials( if you are lucky). Make them drop year 2 weapons the same as possible drops by killing that cabal that spawns from time to time in The Gulch on earth.
I enjoyed doing public events, but now there is no point, just to complete the milestone? There should be more to them. Like every planet or every type of public event to drop a specific weapon or a higher chance to that particular weapon.

1. Bring back the possibility to get exotics from them.
2. Make them harder. (revamp them a little)
3. Normal public event 50% chance to get 1 enhanced core.
4. Heroic public event guarantees 1 enhanced core and 50 percent legendary engram with random rolls engram.

The main things people want are powerful rewards, pinnacle weapons, raid gear, or certain specific weapons with god rolls. That leaves strikes, anything you do on patrol, lost sectors, public events, heroic events, PvP, regular gambit, and the list goes on and on with just bad rewards. Now I have no issues farming event clears or materials to get a good gun. HOWEVER, and this is important for the genre, the loot to get to that point should be GOOD. It's a crazy idea I know, but when the loot you routinely get isn't checked and instantly dismantled your looter shooter is doing something wrong.

At most you should be guaranteed a legendary upon heroic completion and only once you're level 50

Public events need a complete overhaul. Brand new ones need to be added. Heroic need some variety in what enemies bosses spawn, so it's not the same every time you trigger it. and maybe add legendary public event, some really big spawn on the planet when people beat enough heroic. But YES stop the blues, give us lower light legendary. when I max light I don't want to see blues drop.

Won't happen but they should add a higher level than just heroic. That way better rewards can be won.

I disagree on gear. Public events are easy. Too easy to reward potential weapons and armor consistently. Gear should be RNG imo I do agree on them being more rewarding though. The idea floating around the community that enhancement cores should be a guaranteed reward for heroic public events is a fantastic idea, greatly promoting perfect incentive to do public events, increasing their popularity as well. Normal public events can give something else other than glimmer and the occasional gear piece. Someone here said legendary shards, that's a great idea.

ALL Public Events should reward heroic now (although there are many that feel broken - No-one ever gets the Ether Ritual to heroic) Public Events should have variety & 4-5 new versions (every dlc) & new Y2 rewards (If only we could cryo-freeze the asshats whom try sabotage/destroy when folks are putting arc charges in the shield generators/fallen spider tanks etc) once the PE goes heroic and is successfully beaten, they should produce 1-2 Enhancement Cores per PE (no cap on grinding)

3 RepliesThe most simple change they could make to alleviate some of the biggest problems this game faces is allowing all loot to drop at your current power level. It literally gives incentive to do any and everything again.

Suppose they increase the list of spider wanted bounties that offer legendaries? its only 6 / week right? what if there is no limit?

Edited by blade329: 3/27/2019 6:02:37 AMOnce you get to a certain point, Destiny 2 reverts back to being a game of crappy rewards. For the record, I love public events. They are fun. Like with most things, Destiny 1 did those better by Y3. They were more rare, but certainly very rewarding.
