Is it all 4-year vets.
This forum is a hateful joke.
I'm not fighting with you A-holes.
Fight with yourselves I'm done trying.
Update: This topic was meant for Bungie and the newcomers to Destiny.
It wasn't meant for the huge number of hateful people to tell me that I'm a shit player and don't know what I'm doing here.
It wasn't meant for people to tell me that they are the best and are having just the time of their lives here and I'm just an angry person.
I wasn't an angry person until I started playing Destiny and thought it might help to get on the forum.
For those who just had to comment and make me hate this game, even more, I say sit on a short stick.
You wanted another hateful player in Destiny... you got it.
For those who tried to be rational and understanding, I say you're in the wrong place for that but sincerely, Thank you.
Bungie forum and Destiny is a breeding ground for hate and another one has been born.
My sole purpose now is to make this place as miserable as I possibly can for everyone as most did for me.
I would like to apologize ahead of time to those good people in the game that I may mistreat by sabotaging an event or just following around stealing their kills or whatever else I can think of at the time.
Don't worry It won't be for all that long. Summers coming and the Bungie team, Destiny, and most of the people in it suck.
It was gifted to me so I won't be losing any money on it.
We'll see how much more I can put up with and most people here will be glad when I'm gone.

I'm here to tell anyone who may have run into the very bad experiences that I have with this truly screwed up game that they have no business playing Destiny 2 on your own.
In the 4 months that I have played, and watched others play, I can tell you if you don't join a clan
(and good luck finding a good one especially if you're a girl)
and participate in multiplayer events, Strikes, 6v6, Raids etc. it will be next to impossible to advance and enjoy playing Destiny 2.
Now if you have played Destiny 1 and carried over all the inventory to Destiny 2, It might be a different story.
There are no instructions on how to play this game the way it was coded to be played, so everyone probably has their own story.
The biggest problem with this game, if you want to play all 3 characters, is that they all share 1 inventory and some of the items are limited.
Now you need about 230 enhancement cores to get just one load out of masterworked gear for all 3 characters.
About 17 cores x 3 weapons and about 5 cores x 5 pieces of armor x 3 characters = 228 cores. Not to mention another 100,000 cores you will need to infuse :-P
Have fun grinding ghost frags. and doing spider bounties with the limit of 20 ghost fragments for all 3 characters.
Then standing around for hours waiting for HVT to show up only to see them get killed by someone who probably doesn't even have a bounty on it.
When I first started in early Dec. of '18, I immediately tried to go it alone. I had a couple of friends to play along with but they were unable to play it as much as I. Unemployed, I was playing some 9 to 15 hours a day.
I spent more time in Google trying to figure out what I was to do than I was in the game playing.
Even in the storyline missions, the poor GPS system had me spending, sometimes up to an hour trying to find where I was to go next.
But I did finally finish the storyline with all three characters. Now it was time to level up to power level 650 and get the gear I wanted to use and masterwork it all.
I was finding that solo wasn't getting it.
In these forums, I was reading that joining a clan was where it was at.
I was getting many offers to join clans and I made the mistake of joining a clan called forgotten ones.
I installed the required Discord program and for about 3 weeks I did Hawthorn's bounties and was treated poorly and ignored by the clan. All I learned from forgotten ones was how to hate the players in this game. I finally told them I was going to report them and I quit.
I had posted in the forums my experience while playing and what I was trying to accomplish in the game.
Most of the replies were about how I wrote what I wrote in the forums and little about what I wrote. I spent more time arguing with everyone and not learning anything about the game.
I continued to play. I did Strikes and 6v6 and ran into players that didn't participate in the strikes making me do all the work and I was getting owned in the 6v6. It wasn't very fun so I stopped playing anything other than public events that involved other human players.
I was trying to get the public events to go heroic but 90% of the time some A-hole would pop in and just waste the boss. At first, I looked at it that they just didn't know any better. But it was happening a lot and was really starting to piss me off. Mainly when getting ghost fragments one at a time.
I was even getting the human players shooting at me. I guess I killed something they were trying to kill. Sometimes it was so bad that I would spend a half hour shooting back at them until they finally left.
I was reviving players when they got killed but players were not reviving me when I got killed. So I stopped reviving players.
I could go on and on about the many asinine things I've seen done in this game. Eventually I just plain hated the human players and tried to avoid them whenever possible. I found myself treating, even players that were trying to be nice to me, poorly.
I have all 3 of my characters at around 680 power level but I was literally falling asleep grinding and grinding. This is not fun anymore it is a full-time job for the solo players.
I read the comments and replies in the forums and no one knows what's going on with this game but everyone will tell you what you are doing wrong.
I'm sure others are getting just as frustrated as I and if things don't change for the better SOON more and more players... like me will soon quit or take things into there own hands and hack.
I am glad that this game was gifted to me and IF this makes it to D3 I ain't wasting my money.
I'll apologize to all the new players for buying it because Bungie sure won't. They will just tell you they'll fix it in the next season pass or whatever.

3 RepliesWell, I can just give you two pieces of advice... 1- Join a new clan with mature players. A girl (well, I'd rather say a woman) recently joined my little clan and everything is just fine. As she and the clanmates I mostly play with are mature people (40+), no problem. 2- You should focus on one character only and reach 700 with it before starting with the other ones. Levelling all 3 characters at the same time is really too hard, too time consuming and, above all, requires too many cores, IMO. Now, I'm just levelling my main character (warlock) and when it gets to 700 light, I'll transfer a few 700 light weapons to a second character and will start levelling it, which will take a very short time before it reaches 700 light. Then same with the 3rd one. No need to unlock everything on all 3 characters, too much time and resources needed. In D1 I was able to run and level all 3 characters at the same time. Not in D2. I've learned to "optimize" my play time... My warlock will hit 700 this week, then it will take only a few weeks to level my Titan and Hunter.

1 ReplyWow. Insulted in the first sentence. Muted and reported.

1 ReplySomeone who understands the true place of casual. In order to survive this game needs elitism. Not some casual toxic behavior.. You want to quit it go on then quit. But it is your fault you don't enjoy this game. Get a clan, do the raids. A proper clan. D1 elitists veterans fanboys. Not some casuals that play 2-3 hours a day or a week.
-
6 RepliesDon't forget to go to a planet that has a kill a specific enemy bounty and then go sit and go afk where they spawn so nobody else can do the bounty either. That's the only thing other players do that really pisses me off. And this game was made for casuals. I have no clue what you're talking about.

1 ReplyCheck out Too Old to Care. The founder is awesome, and so is everyone else (including females.) Not sure how many openings are left. But not to sound sanctimonious, but life is too short to be bitter over a video game. I actually derive entertainment from the forums.
-
6 RepliesThis game has the worst community I have ever seen.
-
3 RepliesThe mediocre PvP player has no place either, except as a victim for the tryhards.

Elitism will kill this game

4 RepliesWhen was destiny ever a solo game? They never even advertised it as a solo game. Its all about fireteams. And pretty much all activities have matchmaking now. Can easily progress without even doing endgame activities. Really You ramble on so much I can tell you have no real goal when you play this game, And are looking for handouts while putting in little effort.

Edited by gamerjolt90: 3/27/2019 4:02:00 PMGo play fortnite
but bungie should remove cores
4 RepliesTo be completely honest, I don’t have any friends that play, I just hop in a discord and see who needs a person
-
I’m still looking for your original post, but I wanted to stop real quick and say don’t worry so much about replies. There are so many straight up trolls around and when you react they are happy. Maybe tomorrow you can look back, realize some strangers on the forum don’t matter, and re-edit to delete your reaction and replace it with your original point which was probably valid and that why Bungie White Knights attacked you. Just the topic alone I agree with. What used to be a core of the game has been pushed to the side to cater to content creators.
-
4 RepliesI read your original topic but I just don't get the anger. Everything that you have experienced in game is nothing more or less than thousands of other solo players have experienced including me. I had never played an online multiplayer before D1 and started playing aged 55 with slow reflexes and crap situational awareness but I went through the same problems as you and I'm still here. With respect if you want it all and want it now, then Destiny is not the game for you.

This is the most ridiculous post I’ve read today. Wish I could throw you a cookie through my phone.

Casual solo pve endgame*
-
10 RepliesYou get matchmaking for literally ever activity, so I'm not buying the whole solo player argument. Define casual?
-
6 RepliesVictimizing yourself and playing the “I’m a girl, so it’s harder for me” card doesn’t help your narrative. A clan is in no way needed to succeed in this game. The vast majority of activities can be soloed with the exception of raids, which can be completed using LFG. Let’s also not forget that matchmaking exists for every multiplayer activity. “I’m a solo player, so everything is too hard” is a pathetic cover up for incompetency, in the PvE realm of things anyway. There is also no problem with navigation. It doesn’t take a genius to follow the arrow on your radar. Having to spend more time Googling than playing is again, a you problem. It is no one else’s fault but your own that you can’t figure out a mechanic in the game. You know that there’s this thing you were born with called brain cells? They are quite useful in this game, just a thought. Quit crying and learn how to play.

If Anyone gives a shit read my topic down in PlumberNick9 shit reply if it's still there.
Read it. I'm not even a solo player or a casual player. I've got friends that still play this game, and a clan, plus plenty of time to play. But I pretty much agree with everything you've typed up. It's why I started playing less and less over time, and have recently quit altogether. There are so many small and large issues in this game, and it's absurd how long a lot of them have existed. So I switched to Division 2, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. So yeah, can't say I blame you for feeling this way. Because I kinda do too.
-
2 RepliesI play solo 90% of the time. I finally found a good clan of people that are chill. Even though I am in a clan, I still play solo 90% of the time. My clan helped me complete my first raid. Right now I am doing all the forges solo. I just unlocked and completed the Izanami Forge by myself and unlocked and completed the first two forges prior. I had absolutely no issues with completing the story on all three characters. I've just recently got my hunter above 650, and now working on my titan and warlock when I have time to play. Just this weekend in a few hours of game play by myself, I was able to get my titan from 584 to 640. You're experience with this game will get better, if you choose to and it doesn't seem like you're making much effort to do so. It sounds like you're just having a bad experience and letting it fester, rather than REALLY trying to have a good time in game.
-
I just want to make sure I’ve got my facts straight here, you’re a solo player right?

2 RepliesEdited by funkyguy1234: 3/26/2019 7:42:00 PMI felt the same way 3 months into d1. After the story i ran all the strikes, explored every map and started looking into raids. Tried to play a raid... After an hour everyone dropped out. No one was rude about it but you could hear the disappointment and frustration in everyone's voice. Tried it again and had the same experience. I actually opted out because i didn't have the right build to be very helpful and everyone was a little annoyed with me. I'm not/wasn't what i would consider casual. Played 6-8hrs a day. But because i don't want to YouTube "how to raid", play with a fireteam, run a specific build and use LFG I've never completed a raid. This isn't what i consider fun, why play a game If it isn't fun? If i had the option to solo a raid on "easy" mode i would have figured out the mechanics and joined a fireteam to do the hard mode a long time ago. I dont think people who wright you off as a casual and say you don't understand that this is a co-op game really understand that this is driving away players and hurting the game. They don't seem to understand that a solo player gets about 6hrs of story, after that they have about a months worth of game play before they run out of things to do. If you can't raid you really dont have any reason to raise your light level... Bungie needs to wake up and realize that solo players are putting in the time but we are getting screwed out of the whole experience. Think about it, if you never get to beat the big boss at the end, why would you keep playing? It's been like this for a lot of players and once they get tired of strikes and quick play they will put the game down and probably never come back.

Not really

Yea the forums are bad an honesty just the community. Finding it more difficult to have civil conversations about Destiny with anyone on any platform as before it was just here. I could comfortably go on Reddit and not worry about all this salt. Now as far as your title goes, thats your fault. You decided to play Destiny 2 solo, a game meant to be played with others. And you can play the game casually without much issue, only major issues for solo casual PvE players is enhancement cores and having some cool loot not as good as the really grindy pinnacle weapons but still pretty good that can be accomplished with ease. If you're casual don't worry about endgame stuff past the nightfall. However if you want to do stuff past that you need to bust out of that shell and get a team man

This forum is the pinnacle of salt, don’t be surprised if you don’t receive whatever answer you might be seeking.

The hardcore-i have a team carry me through everything so im better than you-tryhard pvp-git gud- players have no place in this game.
