we dont need enchancement cores to be removed. that would make infusing easy and not rewarding. adding easier access to enhancement cores is a much better idea.

  • I agree with you. maybe taking them out is a bit extreme but a significant change needs to occur. Bungie has no plans of making them easier to access. they are now going to be limited just like Powerful Engrams. Why? we now have Weekly and Daily bounties. it costs too much to infuse. Nobody had an issue with masterwork cores. it was a one time thing. Enhancement cores should not be used 19 times on one item to masterwork it. maybe the system would work better if they capped the enhancements to 10 cores per gear/weapon.......

  • I think you have more of a problem with the leveling system than the infusing system

  • Infusion IS the levelling system. Bungie FUSED the two when they decided to not have a genuine character skill tree....and to push off most of our powers on to gear....and abilities off into gear perks. Your character level in Destiny means NOTHING. Its just a way of gating your access to certain kinds of gear drops whenever there is a major content drop like Forsaken. Your in-game power is all about the power level on your gear....and the perk combinations ON that gear. Infusion is how you LOCK in access to certain combinations of abilities as you progress. By interfering with that, Bungie is interfering horizontal progression....as well as throwing sand in the gears of the reward loop that fuels every loot-game. Its as if Blizzard were to take Diablo 3 and just randomly deactivate abilities you've unlocked on your characters....and then force you to have to earn this currency that they are deliberately undersupplying the game with..... ...just so that you can turn them back on. You'd get really tired of that....really fast. Which is exactly what is happening here. This system adds NOTHING of value to the game for the player. It exists SOLELY to try to distract us from the fact Bungie can no longer keep this game adequately supplied with content. So they're doing everything possible to slow down and frustrate our efforst at progression...and are breaking the game in the process.

  • the entire reason destiny leveling system is the way it is is because diablo 3 director told them to do it that way in destiny the taken king. so idk why your bringing them into this. the entire leveling system needs a rework in destiny 3 power level means nothing. you never feel powerful in the game. I agree with you but that's a conversation for another day. doubt they fixing leveling system anytime soon.

    The Diablo 3 director [i]didn’t[/i] tell them to come up with the [i]Milestone [/i] system. And then lint the number of weekly drops. They also didn’t tell Bungie to make progression elusive and require thing outside of normal game play (cores). There is nothing wrong with the design decision they made. They just ignored the part where you have to mitigate the effects of the RNG. Blizzard does this. Bungie weaponized that randomness and turned it on their player base.

  • Actually removing them is the best idea 1. They interrupt normal game play. 2. They strangle build variety and horizontal progression.... and have pushed masterworking out of the game. 3. Making them more available will trivialize masterworking gear by making that too easy. 4. The break the reward loop for loot games. By interfering with player ability to use loot and keep acquired abilities. Leveling up is a mundane act in an rpg. The idea at the foundation of cores for infusion is a bad game design idea for a loot game.

    Then I think you need to worry more about your reading skills than your gaming skills, troll. Because that’s not what I said. This isn’t about making the game easy. It’s about giving people the [i]freedom[/i] to play how they want without Bungie playing nanny and forcing everyone to play the same way. Iow, I’m demanding that Bungie fix a broken game. One that they are to arrogant to realize they’ve broken. Oh, and what Bungie calls “challenging” is usually just cheesy and annoying.

I don't see how that would make a bit of difference to anyone's gameplay experience. You do know that it was not a thing in the beginning right?

    Infusing shouldn't be rewarding in the 1st place.. it should just be an step to keep an item you enjoy, nothing more, we have enough already with the stupid leveling system after the softcap, to have another thing on top to force certain gameplay choices..
