So when is Bungie going to add actual loot to the game instead of them using cores to try to hide how little loot there is to actually chase?

Seems like they’ve quit working on this game and moved on.
-
No vendor update, no factions, reskinned gear.. Once again the Revelry event gear is reskinned planet vendor gear. A couple versions of Iron Banner gear has been real ugly. I love Destiny but come on Bungie.
reskinned gear..
This shouldn't be a shock. That's all they've ever done is reskin, reuse and rename.

reskinned gear..
This shouldn't be a shock. That's all they've ever done is reskin, reuse and rename.
It wasn't as bad in D1 as it is in D2 and that has caused more issues for this game. The thing is, most of the gear in D2 is plain that there really isn't any incentive in grinding for most of it.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 3/27/2019 3:45:13 AMYeah, some don't seem to get it and they are trying to use reskinned gear with snakes put on it as Game-changing loot.
Lol
-
Probably when people put that as the center of attention vs cores.
-
I guess that is why Bungie doesn't want to remove the cores.
-
They do after each dlc.
-
Currently, there are 46 sets of gear missing from this game (and that is just gear.) So don't know what you're talking about.
-
Only new loot is in Eververse, no other vendors get an update, again.
-
False. Lord salad face gets an update.
-
yep, my mistake

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 3/29/2019 1:02:37 PMI'm tired of how lazy this company has become adding loot to the game, but Tess always has a full rotating loot system and gets new items every single DLC.
-
Edited by Combo164: 3/27/2019 2:54:27 AMPlease don't ignore the loot from the new gambit activities plus few exotics. Considering the name of the game which is getting useful loot, majority if not all of eververse items are irrelevant to the overall experience of the game. Not to mention eververse isnt its own thing. Still earn items from tess just by playing the game
-
Please don't ignore how none of the vendors in this entire game has gotten new gear or even come close to getting an update like Tess that is updated every DLC for how long now, about a year? and how many vendors are in this game? that's not including Bungie removing faction vendors and trials that is 6 sets of gear removed from the game among other loot. Should I go on explaining how what has been removed or not added to this game that the exotics and the petty reskinned gear from Gambit means diddly-squat? I'm not trying to be rude or anything like that, but your Idea of loot added to this game and what Bungie should actually be doing are 2 different things. The loot added with this Anual Pass has been weak at best this entire Anual Pass. Oh yeah, how long did it take Bungie to allow Xur to carry the forsaken exotics because of the lack of loot in this entire game?

Edited by Combo164: 3/27/2019 3:22:34 AMNotice how bungie also updates tess for free? No dlc purchased required. The most i can see with old vendors getting free item updates would be just bringing back year 1 items but with year 2 perks. But people already complain about the lack of new items. And yes bungie removed gear yet they've also added gear as well. Can't get the basilisk yet not much that separates it from a threat level or EP shotty. Skins at the end of the day with a different source to obtained. Lastly eververse offers for the most vanity items. Bungie consistently updates the one and only vanity store for free thats earned everywhere by just playing the game. Meanwhile they bringing new loot via new activities such as gambit prime/reckoning/forges/scourge of the past/last wish etc. At the end of the day you're still getting new content to chase after. Only difference here is one store whos items hardly do anything to the game gets updated for free while the actual game changing loot comes from new activities instead of old vendors on old locations and old activities from the base game.
-
Bungie has completely ruined all that was great about Destiny. If it weren’t an Iron Banner week I wouldn’t even bother playing.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 3/27/2019 3:42:07 AM
Notice how bungie also updates tess for free? No dlc purchased required.
Notice how that has always been a thing since D1 released that you mentioning that was kind of pointless.
The most I can see with old vendors getting free item updates would be just bringing back year 1 items but with year 2 perks. But people already complain about the lack of new items.
Nah, they should be updated like D1 every DLC like the vanguard actually were.
And yes bungie removed gear yet they've also added gear as well. Can't get the basilisk yet not much that separates it from a threat level or EP shotty. Skins at the end of the day with a different source to obtained.
More has been removed then what has been added.
Lastly eververse offers for the most vanity items. Bungie consistently updates the one and only vanity store for free thats earned everywhere by just playing the game.
I like how you keep using the word "free" as if that actually means anything when there are games out there that have a lot more loot added to the game for "free". This was free https://www.vg247.com/2016/04/19/destinys-april-12-update-everything-you-need-to-know/ And it was a lot more effort put into the game so far then this Annual pass. Look at what was actually updated.
Meanwhile, they bringing new loot via new activities such as gambit prime/reckoning/forges/scourge of the past/last wish etc.
Umm, that still isn't helping your cause with what has been removed or not updated. It still leaves this game dry knowing Bungie is using y1 loot to fill in that void that most don't care for with the new events.
At the end of the day you're still getting new content to chase after. Only difference here is one store whos items hardly do anything to the game gets updated for free while the actual game-changing loot comes from new activities instead of old vendors on old locations and old activities.
And other companies know how to keep their game relevant while adding new loot to the game. Using the word "game-changing" is far from it, but I guess it sounded good to you.

Edited by Combo164: 3/27/2019 3:56:37 AMIron banner gets updated Only thing missing from strike vendor and crucible is the armor as we get a pinnacle weapons each season and zavala and shaxx are starting to roll year 2 versions of weapons. Also huge difference of tess vs d2 tess as I'm pretty sure majority of tess items needed you to spend money until later in the cycle of d1. Meanwhile majority of the new tess items can be earned via playing the game. Destiny isnt the only game that eventually removes items during seasonal updates and the items that were removed were year one and no one is using year one gear as they do not have access to year 2 perks and thus completely overshadowed by the new year 2 armor. So in hindset you're not losing much of anything especially considering the loot from factions was locked behind timed events aside from trials. So if you missed out on doing them then they were gone. What exactly is my case as you claim my statements arent helping it.
-
yep, meant to say specifically the vendors, but agree the new items in Gambit etc.
-
Loot ? What's loot ? Am I missing out on something ?
-
Loot ? What's loot ? Am I missing out on something ?
Bungie would like you to think so, Lol.
-
Loot is content and ‘content is hard to create’!
-
Now content is difficult to create but bungie still create it. Most likely something you can't do.
