Riskrunner is the best gun in PvE. Change my mind.
Seriously. There has not been a single time since I started using this beast of a weapon that I can go without it. 11k kills. I can easily average 50+ orbs generated in the right strike with it.
Nothing compares against it in PvE.
Sure it's raw damage isn't that great, but if you damage yourself with your own arc grenade you can activate the bonus at any time...Killing enemies at a vast rate in great numbers, the catalyst adds those orbs on multikills and better range.
Gambit, The Reckoning, Forges...Any time you need to kill a great deal of enemies in less than 10 seconds. Riskrunner.
I used to retain my energy slot for Prometheus Lens..Before Bungie nerfed it in to the goddamn ground by removing it's unlimited ammo (Literally the one thing that made that gun good).
Bungie if you nerf Riskrunner I will just quit, because guess what I'm an extremely rare breed of solo player that prefers PvE immensely. But also, what are your guys favourite PvE guns for when you need to go all bull-in-a-China-shop?

Recluse you kill one at a time and it requires constant reloads. The chain lightning of Riskrunner and the infinite ammo while the reactor is going you can shred entire mobs quickly without ever reloading. Yeah you need to activate the arc reactor but I run an Arc Titan with double pulse nades as my main so I can proc at almost any time. Especially in Gambit I often get 100+ enemy clears in a match, often doubling the next closest teammate and tons of orbs generated. Not to mention I easily keep the bank clear because the blockers do arc damage when they hit you. I've been using other guns just to change things up for fun but from a standpoint of pure effectiveness Riskrunner with catalyst is top tier if you run an Arc subclass and can self-proc.

Takes up a slot I find better filled right now by Telesto, Ace of Spades, or Lord of Wolves.

It's basically a water gun in the sense that I just dip it into Vex milk and shoot it back at them. Always an appreciated feature.

It is certainly the absolute best for the Bergusia forge. So much arc damage from the dregs and shanks, you never have to reload.

For me, my favorite PvE setup is this: Horror Story auto rifle (600 light level baby!) Badlander shotgun (this thing has gotten me out of many tough situations and does great damage) and the Bad Omens rocket launcher (splash damage)

I run Lord of Wolves as my Energy. I've got either Breakneck, Duke with Rapid Hit/Rampage, or a Bygones with Rampage/Outlaw for primary. So the primary can deal with add clearing, and Lord of Wolves just tears Majors and Ultras apart. It's practically a Heavy in its own right.

Hadnt used this gun much since year 1 when it dropped. Catalyst dropped the other day so I pulled it out of collections. Holy crap it shreds.

It's good but no Zhalo. You can self proc on a warlock but it's requires enemies to be using arc. I'd say for general killing there are better weapons.

For fun with my Titan I've been running Peacekeepers, with a Huckleberry and a Recluse. Definitely the most fun I've had so far for a while.
