The dev team isn't being tone deaf or stubborn or even ignorant.

The enhancement core economy and the dev team's stance is deliberate. We really need to call them out for what this is: This entire system, their stance and their refusal to budge is just them clinging to a system blatantly and deliberately designed to inflate play time. I feel like a broken record but I will beat them over the head with this again and again, consider this: Farming within Farming within Farming This is the most egregious example of this system. One of the means to acquire cores from spider is to buy his bounties, which means farming ghost fragments. To acquire ghost fragments players complete tangled shore activities. Ghost fragments are capped at 20, which is less than which is needed to purchase every bounty from Spider. This is Deliberate. This is by design. It forces a player to complete a handful of tangled shore activities to acquire more ghost fragments needed to buy the last two bounties. This is deliberate and by design. It is done so to inflate playtime. After the TWAB it is more obvious now more than it ever has been. They know exactly what they are doing. They designed this hamster wheel and knew upon it's implementation how it would affect play time. The doubling cost of cores is by design. It's done to eat through a player's stock of legendary shards. Burn through your shards and can't buy any cores? More grinding for gear we won't use only to dismantle it for the materials. Now they will essentially will move scrapper bounties to banshee-44 which will cost weapon parts. Which you can bet the cost of each bounty will be in the hundreds and don't be surprised when they throttle the amount of parts we recover from dismantled gear. None of what I have said is earth shattering. Many of you reading this are already aware of this deliberate farm within a farm within a farm system. I put this out there because I feel we as community need to call them out for what it is. They can pretend it's not the case but we as gamers aren't stupid. We see through this bullshit. This system breaks player engagement because if a player needs cores they need to devote play time to specifically doing so instead of playing the activities they enjoy. I'm currently sitting on about 200 cores. But the only reason I have that many is because at the end of last season that's pretty much all I did was farm cores for this season. That is ridiculous. Yes it was an active choice on my part to farm cores but it really speaks to the inherent design of this system how broken it is. I shouldn't have to grind cores. Progression should happen organically. We shouldn't have these restrictive layers upon progression.

When there’s a certain “oooooo” you can’t hear, that’s tone deaf. Just using “tone deaf” without any reference or context is wrong. Using it with a reference is wrong also but apparently becoming the norm. Ridiculous.
