Question about the haul/Reckoning location
So the Haul contains a slice of Unknown space? Or a portal to it? Why is it, that when we are loading into the Reckoning, the Derelict is [i]in[/i] Unknown Space If the Haul contains a portal to it?

The ascendant realm is kinda like a different dimension of the space it’s in. You just fly over to the Derelict which is in unknown space so when you enter the reckoning, you are in unknown space still just from within the ascendant realm.

Edit: Seriously though, I don't think it's any different than normal Gambit it's just you can't just transmat into a vortex. You have to jump out the back of the Derelict and through a portal in a giant snowball to get there.
