Drop rates are silly considering the failure rate at T3 (even T2 can be a struggle because matchmaking is so buggy). I have played a fair amount since the season opened and I have tried to embrace what the season offers...but in some ways it feels like Bungie has doubled down on the ultra-grind and RNGeesus tropes that many players are tired of. Drop rates on new weapons are needlessly low....three enhancement cores to increase an item’s light level (after ll 680, if I recall)...forge weapon frames missing from ADA for more than a month (not cool when you consider the time and effort to unlock the forges, especially the third).
What is crazy is that so many of these things are pretty simple fixes that would make playing a much more enjoyable experience. I get that they have probably moved on to D3 but I think the success of that project might be helped a lot if it started with a happy player base in D2.
