That’s highly subjective. It’s a modern shooter with grounded mechanics, not everyone enjoys the military fantasy during an apocalypse.

  • Absolutely. What I meant was overall game play versus rewards. Loot drops better, leveling up works better, matchmaking for all activities in game (after 5+ years bungie still can't add). Storyline is understandable and cohesive, no need to watch YouTube or twitch to know what's going on. It just runs and plays better.

  • Jokers story is far better than division right now, all the lore tabs and such, the character introduction, it’s an exciting direction. Divisions story won’t be crazy, because again, it’s grounded to modern reality. But these two stories are subjective, some people hate sci fi. Matchmaking is the only props in your post.

  • So you're just gonna brush over the fact that everything you do in d2, you've done hundreds of times? Only this time you get a lore tab? Really?!? That's what you call a story? Good luck with that.

  • You’re nitpicking now, every game has repetition, it’s easy to break it down. Division, start a mission, run to location marked, kill enemies, get loot, repeat, it’s that easy. Game designers have it designed to its barebones, what you do in that formula is what hides the repetition. I don’t know what your arguing about, just play the game and stay off the forums, you’re trying to argue with people who mostly enjoy the game. Good that you enjoy a game, let people enjoy their game, is that doing any harm?

  • Division 2 is huge compared to tiny d2 maps. Every side mission has a unique story, d2 has the same strikes, p.e., and locations since launch. Yes, its rinse and repeat for mechanics, but literally nothing has changed in destiny 2 except the population decline.

  • Literally nothing has changed for division either when comparing both division 1 and 2. You literally bought a better version of the game, the story is again subjective. I highly doubt Ubisoft crafted engaging stories for every side mission, I’m not saying they don’t have good story, but every mission has industry trending story? The maps feel big cause you don’t got a vehicle, better argument is there’s more detail. Because you’re comparing sizes to two games that play differently, we got sparrows. Just walk and sprint all over the patrol areas, they’ll start to feel huge at that point. If division had vehicles the map would fee tiny. Destiny, watching teammates go ham with supers and explosives and watching your tv flare with color and death. Division, cover shooter that has you witnessing team coordination prevail in a hail of bullets, gadgets, and some explosions. Different taste in visuals, I prefer destiny, I also got mortal kombat, I got the metro games to run through, I’m good. Is your gain to get me to buy another grind looter shooter when I already have one I enjoy?

  • That’s also very subjective. The loot is stat based, the weapons are nothing I’ve never seen before in any modern shooter. Meanwhile destiny weapons could be unique, vex, jotun, skyburners, wardcliff, etc. new exotics could be exciting because it could be something very different. Division is exciting for the numbers. New weapon types can’t really be marginally different from each other, that’s why I’m never excited for weapon dlc in any modern shooter, it’s just the skin and sound file you’ll be exited about.
