All 50 Reach Ranks - Your Opinions
So what do you think about the Halo Reach ranks?

Personally i don't see anybody getting inheritor untill 2012 unless bungie have some sort of credit boosting playlist, such as double cR weekend, or more valuable challeneges and commendations.
20,000,000 is ALOT of credits to obtain. That said, General rank requires 2,000,000 which is not to bad and will be what most people will be happy with.

Don't forget their is DLC coming and Bungie can change the "Game Completion Bonus" at any time. think about it, the rank cap was put in place to prevent all us early adopters from flying ahead in the ranks, and to give people who got the game later a chance to catch up, if that was their line of thinking with the rank cap and credit cap, chances are we are going to see an increase in credit income for game completion bonuses and the cap will definitely be increased.

20,000,000 CR Only earning 60,000 a day because of limit. Its would take 334 days getting max CR every day. Say you got an average of 6000 CR a day. <-Average Gamer That would take 3334 Days. Over 10 years. By Then this game will not even have online. Most people are not getting max rank.

This list is real, the icons are real (read some earlier posts) the icons are not available online so they are screen captured images that i cropped and cleaned up a bit. The commander icons i removed the black background but it left jaggy edges so i just left the rest of the background on the other ranks. I wouldn't waste my time drawing up fake icons, then photographing them to reduce the quality and then re-editing each one. they are real, this it what's coming, stock up on red bull.

Some of the higher ranks looks cool, but I will never play enough to get there. I am disappointed the emphasis on a skill ranking has been removed, and this is the replacement. It seems like Bungie wants their game to be played by more people for longer (which makes sense from a business perspective, but is a slap in the face to good players). They know people got frustrated when they couldn't rank up anymore in H3, so they made a system that everyone could get to the top. All they have to do is give up their lives. The H2 ranking system was perfect when you factor out the cheaters. You win, you go up. You lose, you go down. Who cares if people stop playing a certain playlist if they are afraid of losing their rank? That just allows the people below them to rank up with less opposition. It takes awhile to reach this state, and when this happens you can reset the ranks. When I faced a 37 in H2, I had a good idea how he would play. Now when I face a general in Reach, that means nothing.

20,000,000 Credits and their already putting credit bans on people, they need to lift the credit limit now in order for anyone to reach that rank. Halo4 will be out before anyone gets anywhere near 20,000,000.

I wonder what the deal is with the Colonel progression. If you'll notice. Getting the subsequent grades cost more than getting Colonel. Maybe you unlock something sweet at Brigadier.

The ranks look faked... and why would they include Lt. Colonel but no Colonel? I do like the artist bringing back rank from Halo 2, though.

oh what fun I doubt I will ever get there. I would be happy with general, anything after that is a bonus. This kind of also makes me think why are bugie locking it down if they are lke that its still gonna take fooing ages and people will get bored with the farming of credits by then

I like the overall design of the ranks, but they seem a little unreal for their terms. 20,000,000 for the max rank? I know it's the max rank, but really? If anything these high Cr ranks will encourage cheating...
