I have 1067 hours in d2 and 1458 hour in d1. I love destiny. I would consider myself hardcore.
I am disheartened because Bungie created 2 guns that I feel are unobtainable unless I do a recovery to get to fabled which I feel is cheating. Lets be honest it is. when you pay someone with better stats then yourself and you send them after guardians with your same stats then your cheating. Its a bully mentality. I have grinded the seasons to no avail. Comp is broken and two guns that many have payed for usually stop me from any streak that I might have had.
I am disgusted because I payed for a game that I cant have full access to all the weapons unless I pay someone else to do it for me. Which I wont. In D1 I grinded and grinded for that perfect eyasaluna and I had fun doing it, all it meant was playing the game and hoping I had good rng. Crucible was the end game content when I had nothing else to do. Now I hit a miserable wall when I go up against nf or Lunas or a recovery in comp. The end game content should not be miserable.
I would rather pay for a new game then pay someone to get a gun for me. Shoot maybe I will pay for it so that I can be on a level playing field or maybe I will stop being a guardian and go play something else. I hope Bungie fixes this before I do.
I know I know. Get good. But did you pay for that?
Bungie- FORGE YOUR LEGACY.

Well said bud.

it will be ok the luna isnt the end all be all. Not everyone needs everything in the game.

4 RepliesI never did go to the lighthouse in d1.

3 RepliesI figure that we pay for access to the game. We get the opportunity to earn guns in the game. Nothing pinnacle is handed to us. I was able to get to 1744 glory in solo queue grind in season 4. I found a team for the last 300 glory. I find it funny that people that cant get Luna's howl automatically assume that everyone else paid for it. There were many people that even solo queued the whole way to 2100 glory, if you are skilled, its not that difficult. Just need dedication and patience for team mate issues. Heres some tips if you want them. Go into private matches to learn names of map locations, good for when you play in a team. That can help with map knowledge and then you can also practice jumps and how to travel around the map. Playing in the mornings can be easier than in the evenings. Using meta weapons and a strong offensive super definitely helps. If you cant find good people in LFG to play with, its probably because their skill level is better than yours (no offense meant), I also run into this issue. I have an approximate 1.2 KD and 1.7 KDA. I try to use solo matchmaking help me find friends. If you play a match and you like one or two people you played with, send them a "GG" good game, and ask if they would like to party up and play together. Why I think this is a good idea, Bungie matched you up with them, they probably have a similar skill level and are in a similar spot in grinding glory. Learn strategies for "Countdown", usually kill an enemy and rush the survivors. Don't arm the bomb unless you kill one of theirs first. Practice in Rumble or QP new weapons and supers. Probably common knowledge, If you are the only one with a super, that can be a great time to use yours. No one around to counter you easily with a super of their own. Also you start generating orbs for your team mates so they can get their supers going. Masterwork armor for more defense while in super form

1 ReplyYou’re 950 points away...830 if you make it to 1980 before a reset. Don’t give up. I’m 36 years old and I made it to 2058 today before losing a match and calling it quits until Tuesday. When it comes to playing PvP I have a COD mentality still. I don’t think, I just play off whatever basic talent I have. I don’t care about stats and usually don’t care about wins. This will be my 3rd pinnacle weapon I will have worked towards solo queue. I started the week at around 350 Glory and have played off and on since Tuesday. It’s been hell this season. Probably because we are only a couple weeks in and have a quest that gives more progress in Competitive. Luna/NF on paper are the best but ... I got my a s s handed to me by a group of PVE players that did not use these weapons. Their skill and decision making destroyed my team of randoms all using the typical Comp loadout. Without any buffs from abilities.. shot for shot yes they are the best but not unbeatable. Luna’s weakness is range. Think of Not Forgotten as an Auto Rifle. Only challenge them from cover so if they land even 1 shot you can back away for a couple seconds to heal and let their green light for Magnificent Howl reset. At close range The Last Word will destroy them. Thorn is a great option for the peek and shoot. Find what works for you and stick with it. Quickplay is great practice now because it’s infested with Luna/NF but it’s not a big deal if you lose right? Try out everything and anything. My friend wrecks with a Hazard of the Cast and a Wavesplitter on a Sentinel. I don’t know if I suck with a Luna or lag doesn’t register shots but I have the biggest balls with a Last Word in my hands. If you miss one crit with Luna/NF it’s TTK is now like 1 second. Last Word has a body shot TTK of .8 seconds. 4 shots at 225. If you can make them miss one shot you’re good to go. Don’t let anyone discourage you. I played against and with people with the Recluse, Not Forgotten that clearly paid for it or got carried. Or maybe they are like me and just suck with pinnacle weapons. I played like sh*t the past couple of days but I made it...again!

1 ReplyMy brother spent the last 2 months before jokers wild grinding for Luna's. He got it, he's not an amazing PvP player, but he had the determination to keep going even when he lost 5 games in a row. If you feel like you're getting worse, wait, give it a day so you're fresh going into the next match

Edited by Vale: 3/18/2019 6:23:08 PMYour points are understandable and possibly relatable to most folks here. However, they are PINNACLE weapons for a reason, and not everyone are capable nor meant to have them. The efforts you put in equates to the outcome that you seek, so if you really want them, start putting in the time and effort. Bungie even made it easier for this season by doubling the Glory gain for wins; however, its also twice the deficit for lost. And if you cant them, thats okay. You might be "salty" for a bit, but hey it wont kill you. Dont give up though! You only fail when you dont try.

I'm not a huge fan of Crucible but I got both guns myself. You shouldn't pay for anything. And if you can't earn it, you shouldn't have it. I think that's a pretty simple answer. Not everyone should have everything. That's why they're Pinnacle weapons.

2 RepliesEdited by Blaidd: 3/18/2019 4:47:23 PMI have more time than that. Both guns are very achievable. Just put your mind into it and you'll get it. Nf needs to have a hard grind and to be very good otherwise nobody will want to reach Legend rank.edit : if you dont even have lunas dont call yourself harcore. 😯

Meh, to gave up on Lunas last season. Honestly I don't care anymore

I feel you, but every guy who has the gun...paid for, exploited, or got carried to the guns will come in and take swipes at you...instead of helping they want cash, instead of advice they will ridicule. They will claim the 87 aim assist makes it hard to get head shots. They will claim there are better guns but will never take it off. They will claim its easy to counter, losing 1 out of 4 is not a counter. This is what bungie wants, an elitist, exclusive environment where most of these types can thrive. It’s to bait players into their broken game mode. Cheaters are numbers, recovs, stacked YouTube teams all are numbers. It’s to validate this chaos they call competition. Most of the really good players won’t use it out of respect for the game. im not good at alI and I stopped using spec blades out of respect for the game. Some people will lie, cheat, exploit or whatever it takes to feel like a winner in a life that makes them feel less than accomplished. When you find yourself a solid team to grind with. you too will have the gun you feel like is out of reach. what will you do with it when you get it, is the greatest question?

9 RepliesDude you must suck ass in PvP if you still don’t have it with more hours then me... I agree it’s hard, but that’s the point... And when I lost streaks it was almost always due to actual skill difference, only 3 times did I get paired up against a 4 stack with less players on my time... Dude just git gud... And if you say I bought recov then let’s 1v1 ( assuming your on ps4)
perhaps you could join the void...
2 RepliesThere are many weapons obtained in many ways. Many people will never get 1k voices or anarchy because they don't do raids. Why do people treat pvp as some special thing that should be changed for them but nobody says anything about pve? Just wondering, it's kind of strange to see so many pvp complaints and nothing about pve
-
2 RepliesI haven’t got the Mountain Top, or The Recluse. I demand that Bungie make this easier for me to attain. 😭
-
I realized that the best pvp players are the ones that can make gold out of Garbage. I wanted to be like that. My go to pvp set up is max speed with last word and mida mini tool. It’s a garage set up and frankly I wish I could put a hip fire mod on my mida. I only use my super to get it out of the way because I hate using any super because it’s just a cheap way to get kills. And I rarely use heavy ammo for the same reason. So again, the best players are the ones that can take bad weapons and can go on sprees with them.

4 RepliesPaying for the game doesn’t mean you get it all automatically, you don’t get dark matter camo because you bought CoD, you don’t get a first place trophy because you paid to enter a race
-
You could go on the Fireteams section and ask if there are any 3 man teams willing to team up with you. If you're k/d is good enough, someone will. I see Comp posts all the time.
-
Some guns are obtainable and some not. Depending on skill you get some guns. That you paid for a game doesnt mean they have to hand them out like some candy bars at halloween. Just improve get a team and start again. Stop whining and get your shit together.
