comp should have a surrender option
I feel as tho comp should have an option for your team to surrender because there's times where you and your team know that you're just gonna lose but don't want to quit cause you don't want to get a quitter penalty or a ban. Or let's say you load in as a solo and your team just all leaves and you're stuck in a 1v4 because you don't want the penalty/ban. A surrender option would save time and you wouldn't get a penalty but still lose the same amount of points. Just my thoughts on this and don't know if anyone else agree or not

5 RepliesI like your idea and think bungie should consider it and expand upon it. But at the same time all i can think about coming from that idea is a bunch of trolls in teams of two surrendering every match, if the way to surrender was vote based, one vote per player. solid idea though

That way you don’t lose valuable win streaks from been 4 vs 1’d.

often I wondered about this. I think there should be I give up button. Because there's several quests that require comp completions. I have been in the 1v4 and it put me in survival. point being I rather quit but to get progress on my quest I have to stay knowing I can't win. jumping off the maps fine but u have to do it for so long. what I'm saying is u can't kill yourself fast enough if it puts u in the 1v4 survival the timer runs out every time. if anything not a surrender button but a miss match button returns u to orbit for uneven teams

4 RepliesThe surrender thing is a good idea, but I think this is a good way to get players to stop leaving and putting you in those 1v4 situations. I said this in another post so I'll say it here: If you disconnect from a comp match you should be able to reconnect. Both teams should also be allowed to call time outs to give the person who lagged out a chance to join back. If the person doesn't return in a certain amount of time they get an hour long cool down penalty. If they repeatedly leave games the cool downs get longer and should be able to go up to a [b]week[/b].

Agree and you shouldn't lose points when shorthanded after surrender. The other team should get half points for the victory to discourage DoS, DDoS, or trying to manipulate system somehow.

I don’t think anyone at bungie ever played a sport or they would never call this mode competition. I mean the connection to their severs can drop at any moment do to different variables...there’s no refs if the other team cheats, there’s no stopping the fight in unfair situations...it’s just chaos, that should be the name instead of comp...chaos!
