As title says. I’d like to hear some opinions. Personally I’ve not been doing the best with the gun and I’m unsure if it is the gun or if it’s just me. I feel like I just haven’t had enough time with the gun yet and haven’t gotten used to it. The gun does feel like it’s leaning towards the weaker end in PvP though. It does seem to get outgunned quite easily by some of the legendary hand cannons. Last word and ace are easily better picks than the thorn at the moment. Overall the weapon isn’t necessarily “bad”, but it’s pretty decent for what it is. With a bit of practicing and adjusting plays styles I definitely see potential for the weapon. In PvE, it’s actually pretty great. It’s very effective for add killing as you literally have no need to reload and it 1 shot low tier enemies very rapidly. On top of that it’s DPS for higher tier enemies is pretty good. Apart of me feels like maybe Bungie wanted to fun to be more PvE based? If that’s the case they nailed it imo.
