The Drifter has enemies. Do you think it would just hang out in the open after what happened to Sundance?
Sundance was Cayde's ghost, just for those that didn't know who I was referring to.
The Drifters Ghost could be Anywhere, but I think it severed all ties with him, or Died. because, Shady Mafakas be shady. Every time I leave there I check my glimmer, shards, and cores.
you never know man, you never know.
my bets are:
1) - He lost it in a game of C*ck, Papers, Scissors.
2) - It got shot through a portal by a Queensbreaker while he was watching Gambit.
3) - His Ghost is blind, and the Drifter has a spikey nob on his nob. (explains the grin)
4) - He Sold it for Enhancement cores so he could infuse his 651 into his 650 armor.
5) - Got Banned because of Safety hazards. Apparently a Ghost stuck together with Hive spunk and Taken gunk, powered by the Forces of Spacesatan isn't a good idea to have on the tower.
6) - Bungie Listened, and they Nerfed it, therefore its not used anymore.
He still has his Ghost. It's in the lore preview where Joxer leaves the Drifter, and it's the one who was recording the Drifter's tapes for the Allegiance Quest. Though we also learn from one of those tapes that Drifter does not trust Ghosts and thus does not get on well with his.
Just a theory, the drifters ghost in the lore book The Man With No Name had been flying high above the town of Eaton during the fight between the warlords and iron lords so perhaps its above him but it’s hiding
