I was really excited to use this weapon in crucible but it is unbelievable terrible.

Thorn proves to be the worst gun in crucible right now, and I would rather use better devils because of how WEAK thorn is.

1 ReplyThorn works fine: it just has a steep learning curve. Similar to the Graviton Lance prior to the hyper buff, the gun can be used effectively once you learned how to control it with skill. Seems like everyone wants game-breaking or easy to use weapons instead of those that require something called effort. It has performed well for me in comp and quickplay making me think perhaps players have a bigger part to play in utilizing non-meta guns.

learn how to use it

12 RepliesFrom what I understand the people who use it to it’s full potential love it but those who don’t hate it because it’s not game breaking which is not the point of an exotic.
-
its bungie's small brain logic hard work for garbage.
-
2 RepliesWhat are you talking about? The gun is great, on console it might be trash but its really good here on pc
-
1 ReplyIt’s so crap in crucible. It needs a serious range buff
-
At least it's good in PVE.
-
Because they didnt design it for pvp maybe, just because a gun is good in D1 for something and is known for it, it isnt up to the community for something the devs will know will end up being a problem
-
Because if it was too good, Shin Malphur may have lost that fight.
-
4 RepliesMost exotics are garbage did you really think Thorn would be any different? They ruined it in D1.
-
1 ReplyBecause back in D1, crybaby tryhards that were previously (almost) invincible, got it nerfed because you could two tap body shot them and as they ran away after killing you....still died due to the tick tick tick...can't have that again now can we?
-
I personally love Thorn. I'm on console and it feels great with enhanced hand cannon targeting. Problem is, my only armor piece with enhanced hand cannon targeting is Khepri's Horn... The only bad things about Thorn are the bloom, the flinch, and the kick to the right even with the 100 recoil direction (100 means completely vertical). It might be a glitch and I hope they change it.
-
Take it you’re on console
-
Its because you get flinched out of precision shots to easily and the way the gun moves when you fire is disorienting for your next shot
-
Probably because of the chaos it caused in d1 lol?didn't they end up ne nerdfing pretty hard in d1?
