Thorn Quest Bugged - Can’t Sift Through Ashes

I have went to start the Thorn quest today and when it says hold square to sift through ashes, nothing happens, it cuts short and nothing gets picked up. Any help with this greatly appreciated :)

Hello, Does your right controller stick have any drifting? Try holding the controller stick steady and picking it up again. Make sure you have room in your pursuits inventory.
