Pretty sure this is not even on the radar. Ever since the third round of Gambit is a sudden death primeval melting round, it is nearly impossible for a single player to deposit 100 motes during a match.

It's on their radar bungie mentioned looking into adjusting the triumph when the overtime round was introduced

Yeah that is tricky to get now... my advice would be: if you see anyone concentrating on mote pick up, let them do it as you will also get the triumph! Don't forget you can die, just can't be with whilst carrying motes!!
