Stop complaining, be patient. They are still contractually obligated

We wont get this 'awesome' version of Destiny until Bungie's contract runs out with Activision. We will have to wait until the end of 'Season of REDACTED' to see what they have planned for the solo development. Also please note that once they do start their single life again, the amount of content we will get will drop. Considerably. Back in D1 we had content 'droughts' but the content was, for the most part, of excellent quality (or at least better than Acti's DLC). I hope everyones ready for this. You can't champion Bungies independence and hate on Activision and then complain that we no longer have content as frequently as Activisions Destiny. Just a forewarning. The only way we get around this, is giving Bungie more money for great content so they can hire more talent to create more content to try to sate this insatiable community.

  • Sorry, but no. Destiny 1 was made with the contract on full power and they "finished" it the way most people wanted. Destiny 2 came without most of the QoL changes that were made on D1 and since then all people said was "Wait for DLC number X to drop, then you'll see how they will improve the game!" It has been more than one year of this same shit and, when they finally start improving the game (with Forsaken) they go and release a "anual pass" that is just an "April update" that you have to pay. Oh! And don't forget the "nerf hammer" striking like the Smash Bros' Hammer on crack. Bungie has extinguished every bit of patience of it's playerbase and this is directly shown on the numbers the game has now, so asking people to be (again) patient because maybe they'll fix stuff on the next paid DLC isn't going to work. Oh yeah, I forgot the best part: When the consumers that paid for said content ask for a change and Bungie simply says: "We won't do anything about it" as is the case of the Enhancement cores.

  • that’s stockholm syndrome my friend. how many times have we heard or said “ oh, i know it’s bad now, but it’s just because of x,y, or z.... just wait, until blah blah, or blah... then you’ll see how great it’s going to be” how many time do we need to get punched in the nuts before we turn around and walk away?

roflmao, Bungie wont see a dime, if they want to release sth. after penumbra. I regret buying the annual pass cause forges were dull and drifter is progression-bugged ON PURPOSE AND still NOT FIXED. And theres no contractual obligation TO NOT FIX THE PROGRESSION BUG! Btw Destiny 2 calls itself "live game", you know which game is/was always called live game? Anthem. Live game is the code for: We didnt finish development but give us your bucks anyways. No preorder or hype anymore, just waiting for reviews. Industry could save money on their PR and bring it to development....

      • Bungie have been an inderpendant studio since day one Bungie also own the IP for the franchise..... Actvision owned the publishing rights and Bungie had to live up to a deal for continued support from activision.... honestly Bungie are 100% the reason for all the bad things that have happened to this franchise as they have had full control over it....The future looks bleak... the best releases for D2 were done by activision studio's.... and even the third and final DLC of the anual pass is being made by an activision studio....

So there is no reason to think at this point that them going without a Publisher means higher quality anything. Destiny got them a lot of happy fans and good will. D2 pretty much erased that for most players. Time will tell what the releases are like but projecting a positive change is not the safe bet.

Giving them more money is absolutely not the only way they can deliver quality content. They’ve already been giving a metric butt ton from the players, and still haven’t fixed/addressed quality of life in the game. They need to gain back confidence from their players by fixing shit first.

              • To be honest it would probably have been better if bungie left and Activision developed the game 👍

                • So agree with most of what you say and the valid point. All this content is still on activision terms. BUT bungie can't sit on that. They need to be adding content during this all or showing they are doing more. Few suggestion. First two will get me shot. 1 remove infusion cores that would win over so many people. 2 bring back the matrix. No one asked for its removal. 3 make legendary items drop at our power level till a cap of say 690. Not below level as they are. 4 bring back all d1 exotics bar raid or quest ones. Weapons and armor with ornaments and catalyst ready to go. 5 random rolls on all y1 stuff with perks that fit to how they were acquired. I.e edz drop with boost to damage against certain foes. 6 class exotics. They can fit into each area with boost fitting that. 7 collection working as marketed. So we can pull ANY gear we have not just exotic and y1.

                • I’d much rather have content droughts with excellent Bungie content than too much meaningless Activision content that sucks.

                    • I am hoping for the best, especially now that I experienced the rough start for Anthem. However, it is an assumption at this point to say we will see an increase in the amount of content dropping. I've learned with Destiny to just wait it out and see. I purchased the annual pass and that will be the last purchase until I see D3 drop for at least 6 months. I'm content with waiting now. I hope Bungie sincerely makes great strides forward. This game's art is fantastic and I believe there is still tons of potential. Bungie has to start turning the corner or I will be one of many that places it in the "meh" gaming category.
