I entered a losing game late last night and managed to get the win but my friend who was watching me play made an interesting point which is "If you enter a crucible game half way through and are put on the losing team should you start with half super energy?"
-
1 ReplyNo only thing that should change is you do not get an L.
-
It should enough said.
-
remove supers from the game please
-
6 RepliesIt should be based on the match timer. Ex. If the match is 3 minutes in, you get 3 minutes worth of super energy.
-
5 RepliesFirst: Matchmaking shouldn't throw players into a match that has already begun. It doesn't matter if it is a crucible or gambit. Secondly: Matchmaking should allow to reconnect if the player has been kicked out of the match by servers problems. ........... Unfortunately, Bungie "is listening to players' feedback", so it probably will not happen.
-
No, you should just quit and try match making again.
-
1 ReplyI would be happy with an enhancement core 😑
-
I agree.
-
I mean, could be cool, yeah I like this idea. But you're already "loss protected" if your team loose the game it won't break your win series. First off I think that bungie should not allowed player to leave a game that has started or be more punishing, Plus, I think they should allow player that got dc yo rejoin the on going game
-
This has been an issue for so long. It's so demoralizing to be pumped up to go get 'em, then die to super, super, heavy, super. How fun it that?

I entered a losing game
Just uneven games in general win or lose. I never really liked the DropIn/DropOut in matchmaking overall. Getting dropped into a losing or a winning match and 30 seconds to a minute later Shax ends the game are the most frustrating ones. Maybe a modified playlist with connection issues within thought. quickplay or competitive as example 6v6 1 player drops from a team to even teams 1 player from opposite team goes into a muted observer mode till new player is found. Observer earns legendary shards or something. If lets say party of 4 decide to quit match on the rest of the team they (party of 4) get hefty penalty. The 2 remaining team members get option to end match in a non-penalty forfeit. These are just ideas to work with to start.

Edited by PRIME_-LeGEND: 3/13/2019 12:34:14 AMOr if you had the same amount of super that the person who left had
-
1 ReplyI know it would probably hurt the team that lost but I think after a set period of time there should be no more players added to the game. If the amount of players on one team drops to 3 (maybe 4) or less and it is past that point the match should mercy and the full team gets a win but the smaller team doesn't get a loss. This way no one gets screwed by crappy connections or sore losers, and no one has to suffer a one sided match all the way to the finish.
If you enter a crucible game half way through and are put on the losing team should you start with half super energy?
That would receive an adamant NO from me. If you are dropped into a crucible match halfway through, you should start with half your Super energy. Doesn't matter if you are dropped in on the winning side or losing side.
-
They should give you 6 auto-kills to just for reloading your weapon.
-
Half Super energy isn't going to save me when they already have Supers. Just have to bite the bullet.
-
And full in gambit
-
1 ReplyYou mean you won't like being tossed into a match where the other team has power ammo and 4 to 6 supers? Who would of thought!?
-
Edited by Bananabanana: 3/12/2019 4:50:02 PMIs it not fun to get joined in a lost game (which happens way too often btw thanks to bungies non-existent leaver policy) and to get immediately rekd 4x by guys with fully charged supers? I dont understand that notion tbh. Next step would be asking for a somewhat balanced PvP. Insane! You guys are expecting way too much.
-
Depending on how long into the match you spawn in I think it should give you super energy as if you were there at the start of the match. This way you can defend yourself against the enemy team that has full supers.
-
No super....what have you contributed to the team by only joining half way through to deserve FREE super energy everyone else has to earn.....wtf brah that's damn lazy....

2 Replieslol! Last night I had just won the 4th game of 4 game winning streak when the infamous Bungie message pops up on the bottom of the screen. “Breaking up lobby for a better match” or whatever, you know what I mean. I get dropped into a match where my team is down something like 63-25. I get Chaos Reached the split second I spawn in. lol! Good times! But seriously, I struggle to see how that could be considered a better match. No big deal though since you no longer lose your streak when dropped into an in-progress loser, but yeah coming in with no super at about the same time existing players are getting theirs is not fun at all. I’ve played enough PvP that on more than one occasion I’ve been supered four or five time in a row before getting off the spawn. Not fun, but actually kind of funny when you think about it. Would love to see the look on my own face when that happens.

Edited by Jerico_7suns: 3/12/2019 4:06:43 PMI made posts on this very topic about D1 in these forums. It didn't get a lot of traction then but my argument remains. I rationalized that you should be given the average amount of super that the other players have. While this might be too difficult to code, at the very least starting with some super energy makes sense. Of course if the game only has a couple of mins left, starting with some may still not be enough. Nothing is more infuriating than joining a game in progress and getting killed by super, rocket, super, super rocket before you even catch your breath. The shell shocking of joining a game in progress needs to consider compensating the lame duck guardian who got thrown into the mix.
-
2 RepliesNo.... You should simply get a win and 1000 valour or glory points.
-
With everything as it is now, that could work. Seeing you can't rejoin matches in comp, I don't think players could leave and then come back to use that. I upvote

1 ReplyNow that i think about it I think D1 did this???? what happen to that??
