I think that it would be pretty neat having the new uldren try to convince the other vanguard that he's not the evil man who killed Cade. That could be a really really cool expansion.
-
You trying to tell me we need this 10 power level guardian as the vanguard?
-
Or
SYLOC, THE DEFILED!
-
No. Just no.
-
With Uldren likely being a hunter, he’s actually a decent candidate in participating in the hunter vanguard dare. Like Cayde himself said to any hunter that kills him, the hunter now has to pick up Caydes vanguard gig.
-
29 RepliesAs a newborn he has no memories and is weak. That means no experience, no understanding of the Light or Vanguard or the Hunters. No knowledge of protocols, methods and duties. He is literally the worst candidate for the position. That’s without the animosity the other Hunters will have for him for killing Cayde.
-
I hope so rather him or shiro-44
-
I think it’s a possibility.
-
1 ReplyHe's not ready yet.

I think bungie have already put to rest that idea with a new lore piece; certainly in terms of the vanguard dare anyway! Check it out if possible; it's one of the zavala rank lores (I think)! #rivenforhuntervanguard
-
So the guy who you killed for being evil is now your ‘boss’. Nah I’d rather not have a hunter vanguard.
-
Uldren was the Queens eyes and ears, he ran all her important missions, fought battle after battle for her and was 100% loyal. He has skills that would suit the position well. Yes he is an ass, but Riven corrupted him and he killed Cayde. In the moment when we kill him and he is released from the mind corruption he sees what he has done says that the line between light and dark is so very thin and do WE know which side we are on? Well I am not sure we should be so high and mighty in our righteousness as we have made and used weapons of the dark already on several occasions, most of you have Whisper right? Well back on topic, Uldren will do a decent job now he is free from Riven and his Sister, maybe it will be redemption for him.
-
I think riven was meant to corrupt him so that ghost thought he was gonna be good imo. So the queen drifter the nine and him are gonna make more guardians of the darkness.
-
I love all the people complaining about how it needs to be a hunter worthy of the position without the understanding that every real hunter considers the Vanguard position a punishment not a privilege. Sticking Uldren there is the best thing to do especially if you don’t trust him. Keep him under Zavala and Ikora’s eyes. Let the real hunters hunt. In the wild. Where they belong. Think a lot of peeps here don’t understand hunter mentality. Maybe switch to titans. It’s not too late.

How about we just shoot Uldren?

If Shiro doesn’t want to do it, fine.

4 RepliesI think efrideet would be a cool choice.

9 RepliesTaniks, the Scarred, for Hunter Vanguard!!!
-
YESSSSS plz make it happen bungo
-
While the Vanguard may accept him, every other Guardian would rather lose the city of second time then have him in charge
-
3 RepliesIt's likely he will be seeing how Cayde wanted any Hunter that killed him to take up his mantle

Edited by OneTrueMandalor: 3/11/2019 3:10:32 PMHe has no experience as a brand new Guardian. Besides, Ikora said that since the Hunter Vanguard position is still open, they might just call all the Hunters together to decide who will take his place, though at the same time, most of the best candidates are running away. Then again, from what Ikora suggested in this particular lore page, it’s entirely possible that the Vanguard might eventually dissolve as a whole. That or simply new leadership.

-blam!- NO. A BIG ASS -blam!- NO. He shouldn’t have even come back.
