Powerful Gear Drops Are Terrible
Six drops in a row below what’s in the slot already. Wow

Power drops are probably nerfed so bungie can extend playtime, just wait a few weeks and it’ll be fine

Yep. Having to play crucible and getting stomped by the standard meta users just to get a sniper that's 1 power level better than my auto is depressing

Started last week at 650, ending at 665. Completed all milestones apart from the nightfall and gambit prime. Even did a few of the dailies more than once. Most drops below the currently equipped. It should be set so that a powerful drop will ALWAYS be above (by at least 1) whatever is equipped in that slot. Even then at a measlily +1 over current the progression would be MUCH smoother and less frustrating. But this is bungie so I expect them to do nothing other than rename 'Powerful Rewards' to 'Steadily Hightening Individual Token rewards' As we clearly don't understand the system and have been confused by the name (same as with the masterwork cores)

4 RepliesI feel you man I've managed to get my warlock up to 669 this first week but with the amount of powerful rewards we have now just about everyone who plays everyday should be at least 675-680, it's mainly because if the repeating shit I had 3 primes yesterday all of which gave me secondaries

1 ReplyThe RNG in general is ass. Over the last week and a half, just about every engram, powerful or not, has been either Smuggler's Word or Zenobia-D, with the exception of a few armor pieces that are below my light level. Getting reeeeaaallly tired of seeing these things.

As a follow-up to reports of powerful rewards dropping at lower Power than expected, we wanted to catch you up on the current topics we’re investigating and also give you insights on our overall goals for Seasonal endgame progression. There are two issues we've been tracking: Reports of powerful sources granting +0 rewards Current investigations point toward this being from daily bounties being carried over from last Season and being used to progress weekly bounties We will continue looking into this issue in case there are other example of +0 drops Director Challenges are dropping lower Power drops than expected We expected players to hit the minimum-reward Power bumps at ~690 Power, but they've been hitting it at 650 instead We have a fix ready for this issue, and we're working to ship this Hotfix 2.2.0.2 sometime after we ship next week’s update
