Bungie just re-introduced the Service Revolver Hand cannon, and you can get it by grinding out vanguard strikes. It's a 180 RPM kinetic slot that is a direct competitor to Lunas Howl, some may even like it better. Anyone without Lunas Howl now has a weapon that can 100% compete with it.
There are now 2 choices :
1.) Use the Service Revolver and be content with it
2.) Use the Service Revolver in competitive to get a Lunas Howl
You now have everything you need to compete with the gun. No more crying.
Shoutout to Aztecross for the weapon review.

Does Service Revolver roll with Magnificent Howl? No? Then you're wrong. I don't care what some click-baiting youtuber says. Luna's Howl is OP, that's just a fact.

Edited by DuBChiri2: 3/8/2019 7:43:54 PMPeople had trust already. Don't listen to that clown :/ Also luna's is still better because it's luna's. Don't even get me started on not forgotten... ALL 180s for the most part are incredibly good for crucible and I really don't think it takes a YouTube video to understand that. Luna's howl performance wise is still one of the worst 180s in the game when magnificent howl isn't active but it still shits on pretty much everything else. No disrespect towards you or the youtuber, I just felt like using the word "clown" today.

I’ve just spent 1240 vanguard tokens and got zero service revolvers🥺 Literally had every other weapon in rotation at least 4 times each.

This was very informative. Very good review.

I've always thought that pinnacle weapons should have some way to get them after a few seasons. Maybe after two seasons (so season six for season four pinnacles) the pinnacle perk enters the loot pool available for random drops. Or the quest to get it is simplified and made easier (so a Luna's howl quest that doesn't require competetive rank). That way, the ones who got the gun the first season it's available has a whole season where they can enjoy having the pinnacle, then players who missed the chance or who were unable to get it can have a different version (if the perk enters the loot pool) or can do an easier quest (such as: competitive rank doesn't force back progress).

I disassembled mine yesterday thinking it was just another garbage Vanguard reward weapon. Unlucky.

One of my clan mates got one with high cal, rangefinder, rampage with a range masterwork, slapped a rampage spec on it. Can’t tell you how many triple downs he pulled on the other team.

Ok... “counter” that Luna all you want. Have fun countering my NF 😂😂😂

Edited by GuessedSiren463: 3/9/2019 10:15:43 AMI guess the one Zavala has is a crappy, curated roll? Thanks for the info.

Aww. Did someone get suckered into a click bait "review" video?
-
Hmmm? Ohhh.... AHHH
Nerf both of them
-
Sweet!! What perk does it have to give it's the games fastest TTK?! Oh wait! It doesn't?! What a cretin you are.

If you think just because a weapon has 1 direct counter (out of how many weapons in the game?) That it still shouldn't be talked about... idk what to tell you
-
Gun looks good for sure, but people are always gonna find a way to cry about something no matter what.
-
Funny thing here is that I used the original Service Revolver to get all the way to the last step. Bad Range and all.

hell yeah! - old
Should have a least been an opinion from the start. Trust is good lunas and not forgotten are great. This is a just another opinion until you get your lunas. The devil you know is better than the devil you don’t. -
The poor man's Luna. Glad we are finally seeing something like that!
-
Just got one with rangefinder last night and it's a beast
-
I had about 5k tokens. Got 5 godroll service revolvers. 1 with outlaw and kill clip, another with kill clip and range finder plus high cals. I took it to 1 pvp match tonight and got 21 kills vs a team of a 3 stack lunas. It deff competes nicely but i have a trust with range master work, opening shot and explosive payload plus accurized rounds which i think is better. SR feels fantastic though.

Random drop right?
-
My Trust with Accurized Round/Opening Shot/Explosive Payload/Range MW is much better
-
I'm not a handcannon user but I got one of these yesterday with HCR, rangefinder and kill clip. OMG I'm loving this thing in crucible.
-
There was already trust for this. It's just a kinetic trust, no?

There's only two flaws i see with this gun that were highlighted in that same video you referenced: 1. The gun is not really the best option to use in CQC portion of the maps. Shotguns, sidearms, or the Coldheart would probably be a better option if you;re trying to counter Luna in that scenario. 2. Not Forgotten is just like Service Revolver but it has the better range stat-wise. Like Aztecross i would probably recommend getting a roll with rangefinder and perks that focus on the stability. Whatever the second perk is up to you.
