Mouse Lag/Freezing (what worked for me)

Can't move mouse without it freezing and unfreezing constantly (only happens when I play D2). Seeing a lot of posts about frame dropping being the problem but my frames are stable and when using a controller game plays fine. Fixed: uninstalled Destiny 2 > reinstalled Windows KB4482887 > reinstalled Destiny 2 Fixes I've tried: [3/6/2019] -uninstall Windows update KB4482887 -%appdata%\Bungie\DestinyPC and deleting this file -Override high DPI scaling behavior -Scan and repair on blizzard launcher. -DPI change -different polling rates [3/8/2019] -removed CVARS.xml file -tried v-sync and different window modes

 • I think I have fixed my problems...gameplay, mouse, keyboard, Discord all back to smooth play and totally normal. The solution for me was to uninstall Windows Update KB448287 and then set “Pause Windows Updates for 35 Days” so it would not reinstall. I had not set that and the KB just reinstalled itself. Microsoft has added an official warning on this update especially for Destiny 2 players and is recommending you uninstall it if you are having weird in game issues. The likelihood of someone encountering the vulnerability it addresses is extremely low and they are investigating as is Bungie (listed in known issues). There is a large thread on Reddit here that gives good details: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/ax7r8y/problem_with_windows_update_kb4482887_do_not/ Hope this helps! Good Luck!

 • Hey there. Appreciate you reaching out to us. If that doesn't work, delete the following local cache/settings directories:

– %APPDATA%\Bungie\DestinyPC
More information:
*WARNING* Deleting these will cause you to lose persisted settings, such as logged in users, keybinds and graphics settings in Destiny, etc. The directory names above are actual paths that can be used in Windows Explorer. For example, if you enter "%PROGRAMDATA%" in the Windows Explorer address bar, it will automatically take you to C:\ProgramData (default), which is a hidden directory.

More suggestions:
1. You might want to remove your CVARS.xml file to see if anything changes. 2. You may want to turn VSYNC on or off to see if that helps at all. You may also need to cap your framerate. 3. Some users have reported that lowering your clockspeed of your GPU may help with this. 4. This player reported that removing Windows Gamebar has helped with this issue.
• I have had similar issues since the latest win update on tues. I have done everything you did BUT...I did see a BIG improvement changing my mouse polling speed to 125 from 1000 in the Logitech Gaming software. Has not fixed the issue entirely but the game is certainly at least playable. I changed three things Tues: Downloaded Season of the Drifter Two Windows Updates New nVidia Drivers for Nvidia 1070 And Destiny has not been the same since. Tonight my discord would cut folks voices off and went in and out entirely. Something is just wonky right now. Computer and Discord and mouse function just fine without D2.
