1 ReplyLmgs need a range nerf more than anything they’re way too powerful in pvp/gambit
-
Bungie loves nerfing anything and everything. They could've just buffed other weapons but nah thats not fun and too much work for our favorite indie studio. So nerfs all around.
-
The only need they need / needed is the range. They are too effective at ranges far out of the regular spread of other weapons. There's almost no fall off until it's out of Scout rifle reach
-
Because Bungie is stupid.

They are very good at wiping enemy Gambit teams during invasions thanks to invader wall hax. Very low skill floor = easy to use, easy to abuse. Yes, Bungie noticed. MG's are still good -- very high damage output, very precise at long range, high flinch output, no flinch input, high ammo capacity, still good ammo economy, etc. MG's have everything covered. Other power weapons are trash compared to MG's. Sure you can out-range them with Linear fusions, but linear fusions can't kill the enemy team multiple times on a single power brick like MG's. This ammo reserve nerf is only a half-step, so be thankful it didn't touch MG combat properties other than PVE bosses. EDIT: Numbers don't lie, but feel free to downvote if it makes you feel better :p

Really hahaha I mean even with the Nerf they still melt shit lol
-
1 ReplyThunderlord is still my baby. ...but can’t believe the nerf either. Should have just buffed rocket reserves or just all Heavy in general. Nerfs are annoying.
-
Because elitist neckbeards cry when people use the guns they want to use.
-
10 RepliesI would suspect because it hurt the e-peen of some players in the PvP community. They were nerfed very likely for the same reason they didn't exist when D2 launched.
PvP players don't like getting killed, it hurts their fragile egos.
-
23 RepliesBecause pvp players are whiners and hate getting killed by guns that do awesome at PvE... honestly the pvp side of the game has gotten way out of hand...thunderlord was amazing for a lot of situations and now its about worthless...so thank you pvp community, thank you for ruining the fun for a lot of people who just want to play the game with friends because once again you just had to ruin everyone's fun by crying that your meta playstyle was ruined by a great weapon that required PvE participation during an event to obtain and you hate it because it didn't require pvp and your "awesome skills" to get. You guys have ruined a lot of stuff for not just the PvE community but also yourselves because of you incessant whining about the meta being challenged.
-
Edited by blade329: 3/7/2019 9:16:42 PMYou think that's bad. Wait until players start getting that new Gambit armor, especially for Invasions. Oh, man, the whining is going to be epic. I can't wait. "Waaaahhh......Gambit perks....*sob*...invaders are too strong......nerf it. ** sobbing **." LOLOL. Getting popcorn ready.

6 RepliesI’ve PvE shitlords are gonna use the “I wanna use the fun gun I grinded for in a looter shooter” then they lose all rights to complain about Lunas and Not Forgotten
-
They got a nerf in PvE that made them less optimal for boss damage, making them more attractive for ad clearing and other power for boss. If you have a specific perk to increase max reserve, that perk is less effective I don't know about you, but I've never gotten max reserves in PvP or Gambit. No change PvP Minimum invader change Gambit, less effective for primeval damage Gambit, means choice between effective invading and effective boss damage. All in all, not a big deal.
-
Depends on the activity, in gambit they were extremely powerful. That's all I didn't use them in crucible and PvE is just PvE
-
1 ReplyNotice that the gambit gun this season is named 21% delirium. Lol bungie is trollololoing us. They nerf MG damage 21%, coincidence? I think not
-
Because we used them, bungle figured we wouldn’t use them Odd thing no machine gun frame from ada in a while, contrived or coincidence? Hmmmmm I’m thinking contrived
-
Because that’s what Bungie does. They nerf.
-
Because only an idiot wouldn't understand that it's
NERF or NOTHIN'
!
-
31 RepliesBecause they want Gambit Prime to be hard. Because they want you to believe that the Gambit weapons are better. Because they want to force a certain play style. Classic Bungie. And why the community is getting sick and tired.
-
8 RepliesSimple meta shift, Bungie are incredibly anal about dictating how you play whilst ironically being totally inept at it. In simple terms, they couldn't be arsed to make new gambit work in the existing eco system.
-
1 ReplyWhen you guys gonna learn that they nerf things because of ''content creators''.
-
So you had to make a choice slay players or slay boss
-
They were nerfed? Doesn't feel like it....

333 upvotes. Just know that I would upvote this.

What's left that hasn't been nerfed? I tried playing last night for the first time in a week. Someone put pizza dough in my Ikelos shotgun because I felt like I was in molasses using it.
-
I was initially upset about this... but realized that i didnt use my mg for boss dps much anyways. Clear adds, kill guardians, then use super on boss. D
